Vettura is a vehicle mod for Minecraft: fully modelled vehicles you drive, wreck and make yourself. It began as the vehicle mod built into the world of Apocalypse: First Light and is now a mod of its own, developed by Antaurora.
Why "Vettura"? Vettura is Italian for "car" (say vet-TOO-ra), a plain name for what this mod is about.

Install Vextris with it: 0.1.2 (0.1.1 works too).
All screenshots: in game, with the Aureveil shader pack.

- Suspension and tyre physics.
- A 5-speed manual with automatic clutch on the T15; vehicle packs can have an automatic gearbox.
- Transfer case: 2H, 4H and 4L.
- Hold G and your hand turns the key until the engine catches. Lights, high beam, turn signals, hazards, wipers, heat and A/C, horn.
Driving: the damage panel, speedometer, gear and warning lights

- A small single-cab diesel pickup, 60 L tank.
- Choose the paint, wear, fuel and where the key is when you place it: in the ignition, behind a sun visor, in the glovebox, or anywhere in the cab.
- Doors, hood, tailgate, visors, glovebox and ashtray open; two more seats over the wheel arches in the bed.

Under the hood

- Diesel and petrol buckets, 50 L each; fluids in the
forge:dieselandforge:gasolinetags work too. - Crashes, arrows, explosions, fire and lava damage the body, the tyres and the glass.
- An arrow can flatten a tyre; a broken window no longer protects whoever sits behind it.
An arrow and a trident in the hood

- Use it on a step in a road for a slope, or between two road ends for a curve.
- It reshapes your road with its own blocks; take a piece away and every block comes back as it was.
- The only item with a crafting recipe in 1.0.0.

- Tested on a dedicated server with two clients.
- On joining, the vehicle packs are compared with the server's; a missing or different pack is named.
- A driver who logs out gets out first: the vehicle stays parked, switched off, key in their pocket.

- Recommended: Aureveil, our own shader pack. It draws Vettura's headlights on the world, the rain and the water on the glass.
- The T15 carries LabPBR materials (the Creator Kit bakes them for your vehicles too), so shader packs that read LabPBR show the paint, metal and glass.
- With other shader packs the vehicles work, but the headlights don't light the ground and the glass stays dry. Tested without shaders and with Aureveil only.

- A vehicle pack is a folder or zip in
vettura/packs/: model, textures, numbers and sounds. - Four wheels, up to 6 seats; lamps, glass and moving parts come from the names in your model.
- Java add-ons can register vehicles too.

- A white-box example coupe as a pack and as a Blender file.
- Scripts: Blender export, texture baking, the hit hull, the checker, pack zip and icon.
- Download: Vettura-Creator-Kit-1.0.0.zip, with the guide on the wiki.

- Required: Vextris 0.1.2 (0.1.1 works too).
- Optional: Embeddium and Oculus.
- Shader pack: with Aureveil the shader pack draws the headlights, the rain and the water on the glass.
