Veinminer++
Hold Sneak while you break a block and Veinminer++ mines the whole connected vein — any block your tool can actually collect, not just ores. Breaking is staggered across ticks, so even a big vein or a giant tree never freezes the server.
Built around a shared code path, so it behaves identically on Fabric and NeoForge.
How to use
- Activate: hold Sneak (crouch) while breaking a block.
- Cycle shape: press
[ (previous) or ] (next). The active shape shows on the action bar, and the 3×3×3 box briefly draws an xray-style edge guide.
Shapes
| Shape |
What it does |
| Vein (default) |
Follows connected matching blocks — ore veins, a run of logs, like-for-like blocks. |
| 3×3×3 |
An oriented cube in front of you; depth follows where you look. |
| Spread (opt-in) |
Same as Vein but with a much larger cap, for clearing big deposits. |
Features
- ⛏️ Tool-aware — uses your held tool's real mining ability, so any vanilla or modded pickaxe/shovel/axe works. A block that wouldn't drop for you is never broken (your iron pickaxe won't waste obsidian — it just skips it).
- 💎 Smart ore matching — groups related blocks by tag, so a vein of mixed variants (stone + deepslate ores of the same metal, a single log species) is followed as one.
- 🌳 Tree felling with a safety net — break a log to fell the whole tree, including tall 2×2 giant trees. Smart-tree detection only fells when leaves are attached, so your log cabins and wood-block builds stay intact.
- 🍃 Tidy leaves — felling an isolated tree clears its canopy too, dropping the same loot leaves give on decay (saplings, sticks, apples) at no durability cost.
- ✋ Optional toolless mining — by default, soft blocks (dirt, sand, grass) can be vein-mined by hand or any item; great early game or to save durability. Flip it off to require a tool.
- ⚙️ Performant — capped block counts and a lenient per-tick stagger spread the work out instead of spiking a single frame.
- 🔧 Durability control — set the durability cost per block from 0 % (free) to 150 %; Unbreaking still applies, and felling stops one hit before your tool would break.
- 🖥️ In-game config — a Cloth Config screen via ModMenu on Fabric, or the built-in mod list on NeoForge.
Configuration
Caps for each shape, tree size, blocks-per-tick stagger rate, durability cost %, the smart-tree and leaf-cleanup toggles, the tool requirement, the Spread mode toggle, and an always-on edge guide — all adjustable in-game.
Requirements
- Minecraft 26.1.x (26.2 support planned), Java 25
- Fabric: Fabric Loader + Fabric API. Cloth Config is bundled; ModMenu is optional (adds the config button).
- NeoForge: Cloth Config.
Works in singleplayer and on dedicated servers — install on both the client and the server.
