Overview
This release brings Vectors' supported Minecraft versions and loaders onto a unified codebase, aligning them with the latest 1.5.0-alpha.22 architecture.
It also introduces improvements to chunk worker management, preset configuration, and terrain batching to improve rendering performance and maintain more consistent behavior across supported versions.
Changes
Performance Improvements
- Dynamic Chunk Workers: Chunk worker threads are now configured dynamically based on the available CPU cores, with a maximum of six workers.
- Improved Preset Handling: Fixed an issue where changing optimization presets could reset or incorrectly modify the terrain batching setting.
- Preset Tuning: The Performance preset uses six chunk workers, while Balanced uses four.
- Terrain Batching: Improved the Multi-Draw Indirect (MDI) rendering pipeline to reduce draw call overhead and help alleviate CPU-side rendering bottlenecks.
Version and Loader Updates
- Updated the Minecraft 26.3 NeoForge build to the latest Vectors codebase.
- Updated the Minecraft 26.3 Fabric build to version
1.5.0-alpha.22. - Synchronized the 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1, and 1.21.1 builds with the unified release.
Configuration
- Terrain Batching remains enabled when switching between Balanced, Performance, and Quality presets.
- You can review your optimization settings in the Vectors configuration menu by pressing F8 in-game.
