Vectors — Fabric and NeoForge 26.x release notes
Release collection: 16 October 2026. Each file retains its actual loader/game target and version.
| Minecraft | Fabric build | NeoForge build | NeoForge loader used in validation |
|---|---|---|---|
| 26.3 | 1.4.5 | 1.5.0-alpha.4 | 26.3.0.77 |
| 26.2 | 1.5.0-alpha.2 | 1.5.0-alpha.4 | 26.2.0.90 |
| 26.1.2 | 1.5.0-alpha.2 | 1.5.0-alpha.4 | 26.1.2.117 |
| 26.1.1 | 1.5.0-alpha.2 | 1.5.0-alpha.4 | 26.1.1.15-beta |
| 26.1 | 1.5.0-alpha.3 | 1.5.0-alpha.4 | 26.1.0.19-beta |
Shared behavior
Terrain batching is enabled for fresh configurations in all ten JARs. Existing saved OFF preferences remain OFF. The High FPS label and English/Turkish help explain hardware-dependent gains. The compact monochrome UI, normal Minecraft font, translucent background and subtle grey borders are retained.
NeoForge 1.5.0-alpha.4
Port the complete application to NeoForge, including native key/screen/shutdown events, Options and Mods-menu configuration entries, current statistics/benchmark/adaptive controls and version-specific terrain adapters. Correct NeoForge particle-provider lookup and client initialization timing. Core remains Java 8 bytecode; adapters target Java 25.
26.3 retains the existing native RenderPearl indirect terrain backend. 26.2 / 26.1.2 / 26.1.1 retain their older native draw-list adapters. Exact 26.1 includes guarded OpenGL indirect submission and owned uniform snapshots; the NeoForge bridge uses conservative GL state queries. Different game versions do not share identical terrain APIs or guaranteed FPS.
Sodium/Iris/Oculus disable conflicting NeoForge native renderer hooks. Unverified private Sodium RGSS/sprite hooks are omitted. Real NeoForge 26.3 + Sodium 0.9.3-beta.1 singleplayer coexistence passed; other combinations and Iris/Oculus runtime remain untested. Sodium 0.9.2 fails its own LevelExtractor hook against NeoForge 26.3.0.77.
Fabric builds and performance limits
26.3 1.4.5 and the older-game alpha.2 ports enable terrain batching by default. Exact 26.1 alpha.3 adds the measured indirect/uniform optimizations and corrected NVIDIA default. In its separate Fabric comparison, pooled mean FPS improved 21.7–48.8% over Fabric; both Vectors launches exceeded both Sodium launches in coastal woodland and transitions. Buildings/glass overlapped variation and buildings 1% low was below Sodium. These measurements do not establish NeoForge gains or performance on another Minecraft version. No low-end or universal Sodium superiority claim.
Installation / publishing
Select the loader folder, then the exact Minecraft folder, and use its single JAR. Replace the previous Vector/Vectors JAR; do not install different loader/game files together. All targets require Java 25. Fabric requires Fabric Loader 0.19.5+ and matching Fabric API; NeoForge requires its matching loader and does not need Fabric API. Forge builds are not included. For each upload, select only the file's exact Minecraft version and correct loader.
NeoForge 26.3 standalone FPS comparison
Two independent launches per variant in reversed order, four saved-world scenes; same resolution, quality and camera. Sodium is 0.9.3-beta.1. Mean launch FPS / median launch 1% low:
| Scene | NeoForge base | Vectors alpha.4 | Sodium beta | Vectors vs base | Vectors vs Sodium |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| forest | 1675.8 / 481.1 | 2395.8 / 537.3 | 1928.7 / 522.4 | +43.0% | +24.2% |
| builds | 1639.7 / 466.7 | 2256.8 / 508.1 | 1944.4 / 524.1 | +37.6% | +16.1% |
| glass | 1529.8 / 378.4 | 2634.5 / 624.5 | 2206.0 / 558.8 | +72.2% | +19.4% |
| transitions | 1451.2 / 266.7 | 2166.3 / 409.5 | 1802.6 / 404.6 | +49.3% | +20.2% |
