Description
First Aid is a groundbreaking mod that introduces a new health system. This mod is a fork of Ichttt's First Aid Mod, with a fix for a critical game-breaking crash and a few other bugs fixed. I created this version for use in my Modpack called Z-Liminex, specifically for Minecraft version 1.19.2. I am making it available to comply with the GPL license of the original mod and to help others who have been frustrated by these bugs to use aswell.
HEALTH SYSTEM:
The old health bar got replaced by 8 different health regions, so your Head, Body, Legs and Feet have their own health bar.
This mod disables vanilla health regeneration by default. This effect stays even if you remove the mod. It can be changed in the config or by typing /gamerule naturalRegeneration true.
Healing can be done by using bandages or plaster. When you right click them in your inventory, you get a GUI where you can choose where you want to apply it.
You will die as soon as your head or body health drop to zero.
DEBUFFS:
Certain debuffs may apply when your limbs get damaged, so when e.g. your feet get damaged, you will get a constant slowness debuff, or when your head gets hit servere enough, blindness and/or nausea will apply for a short time.
All debuffs can be supressed by morphine. When you take morphine, no health debuffs will apply while it is active, but as soon as the effect runs out, your constant debuffs will reappear.
ARMOR:
Armor calculation has also been changed: If your legs get hit, only the armor of your legs will be taken into account.
But because the armor value of a typical helmet is much lower than a chestplate, these values get multiplied with a factor
So armor for your head and body are very important if you want to survive.
Since version 1.3.0, this mod uses a sound from this website. It is licensed under the Attribution 3.0 license.

TLDR:
This is ichttts first aid but with the dreaded player is missing a damage model crash fixed plus a few other bugs fixed.

Q.Will you port to *insert minecraft version here*
A. I will probably only port this if I update my modpack to a given version. But if you know much about programming you could probably just clone whatever version of ichttts first aid you want and add my changes after, AFAIK fixing that crash isnt really a priority for Ichttt. But I also fixed a seperate bug.
Q.Will you develop this further
A: Unlike many "fix" mods, I don't want to change this much at all. I just want it to retain its current functionality and art. If I decide to add new art, types of bandages, or medicine, I'll probably create a separate mod for those additions and name it something like 'Z-Liminex Medicine'
Q: Should I install this mod by itself, or do I need the original mod as well?
A: This mod replaces the original, so you need to remove the original mod and use this one instead. The configuration remains the same, so there's no need to replace the config files.
