The Type 95 Sniper Rifle · Explosion Formula

A bolt-action sniper rifle carrying the Elinium Type 95 orb.

• Aim — hold right click to look through the scope. Scroll to zoom in and out.
• Mark — left click through the scope marks what you are looking at: a mob, a spot on the land or a spot in the sky.
• Charge — keep holding. Formula circles stack up in front of the barrel, a new ring every two seconds, for up to ten seconds. At full charge: Deus lo vult. While you charge, the mouse looks around freely and the rifle stays on the target.
• Fire — let go. The bolt leaves in bullet time, three seals slam down where it lands, everything pulls in to one point, and it bursts into a mushroom cloud. It leaves a crater of green glass with the formula burnt into its floor.

At full damage (∞, the default) whatever the blast takes is erased: no drops, no death animation. If you stand in it in survival, it takes you too. In creative it passes you by.

How to use

1. Get the Type 95 Sniper Rifle from the creative tab Combat, or craft it: an ender eye in the top right, a netherite ingot and a crossbow in the middle row, a spyglass and a netherite ingot in the bottom row.
2. Hold right click, left click to mark, keep holding to charge, let go to fire. Sneak lets the mark go.
3. Press H with the rifle in hand: it swings round and three sliders on its stock set the next shot: Power (from 0.1× to 10×), Damage (per hit, from 2 up to ∞) and Cutscene (the short film when you pull the trigger).

⚠️ Before you fire

• It permanently changes your world: a crater and scorched, flattened land around it. Turned up on its slider the blast reaches much further. Back up any world you care about.
• Photosensitivity warning: full-screen flashes and drawn impact frames.
• Heavy shaders: a decent graphics card is recommended. The first launch spends a moment compiling them.
