When you break stone or deepslate, it turns into the cobbled version and you have to break it again.

You need to break stone and deepslate twice.

When you break stone it turns into cobblestone instead of dropping cobblestone.

When you break deeplate it turns into cobbled deeplate instead of dropping cobbled deeplate.
