TOBI's Furnace Utilities
A lightweight, configurable speed boost for furnaces, smokers, and blast furnaces that keeps fuel consumption balanced.
TOBI's Furnace Utilities is a lightweight and configurable mod that speeds up furnaces while keeping fuel consumption balanced.
It works automatically with Minecraft's standard:
- Furnaces
- Smokers
- Blast Furnaces
No new blocks, items, recipes, menus, or complicated upgrade systems are added.
Balanced Furnace Speed
The default processing multiplier is 1.5×.
Cooking progress and remaining fuel time advance together. This means furnaces finish items faster without allowing one piece of fuel to smelt additional items.
Approximate default processing times:
- Furnace: 10 seconds → 6.7 seconds
- Smoker: 5 seconds → 3.3 seconds
- Blast Furnace: 5 seconds → 3.3 seconds
Configuration
The speed multiplier can be changed in:
config/tobis_furnace_utilities-common.toml
Available values:
1.0— Vanilla speed1.5— Balanced default2.0— Maximum speed
Fractional values between 1.0 and 2.0 are supported.
