The Endless Pantheon (Forge 1.20.1) Version 0.5.0 - Despair Integration Beta
Become an Endless aspect and keep the world.
Release Focus
- Promotes Despair from alpha preview to a full beta-playable branch.
- Expands the mod to five beta-playable Endless branches:
- Dream
- Death
- Destruction
- Desire
- Despair
- Includes a multiplayer stability pass based on live testing feedback before wider beta rollout.
What Is Playable
- Dream: Dreaming travel, bubbles, scenarios, duties, and Dream governance systems.
- Death: half-dead lifecycle, rites, soul release loop, oath consequences, and Sunless Shore travel.
- Destruction: Forge of Endings powers, duty/stasis loop, creation quota rules, and ritual claim path.
- Desire: Threshold powers, influence/contracts loop, duty pressure, ritual path, and showcase realm systems.
- Despair: Mirror Abyss travel, mark/harvest control loop, state pressure, ritual claim path, and loss framework.
Despair Promotion To Beta
- Despair now includes its full in-world ritual path instead of remaining admin-claim only.
- Added active loss/consequence systems tied to neglect and prolonged world pressure.
- Mirror Abyss state progression and Despair gameplay loop are now ready for larger-scale beta testing.
- Updated public metadata to reflect Despair as a full beta branch rather than a preview-only branch.
Multiplayer Stability Fixes
- Reworked Dream sleep handling so Dreaming transfer is queued after sleep resolution instead of forcing teleport and heavy world work directly inside the bed completion event.
- Added expected Dream transfer tracking so valid Dreaming entry/exit no longer triggers false dimension-resync cleanup.
- Reduced repeated dream bubble rebuild work by tracking generated bubble state and only rebuilding when mood/version actually changes.
- This should improve:
- Dream sleep behavior on servers using 100% sleep percentage
- Dreaming entry/exit stability for non-Dream players
- night skip consistency around Dream systems
Death Reliability Fixes
- Fixed lethal-conversion reliability so valid player and mob deaths now properly enter the half-dead state while Death is active.
- This resolves the issue where targets were too often dying immediately instead of lingering for Death to release.
Desire Realm Performance
- Increased the interval between Threshold showcase structure placements.
- Reduced structure-placement search pressure per cycle to lower hitching/timeouts on multiplayer servers.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Forge 47.x
- Java 17
Beta Notes
- This release is intended for broad multiplayer and progression testing across all five playable Endless branches.
- Priority retest areas:
- Dream sleep and Dreaming transfer behavior under server load
- Death half-dead conversion consistency in real combat
- Threshold structure-placement timing and server performance
- Despair ritual, duty pacing, and world-pressure consequences
- Always back up worlds before updating.
