Tensura: Auto Resist

Automatically enables newly acquired Tensura resistances and nullifications once, while leaving you in

Tensura: Auto Resist

Tensura: Auto Resist is a small quality-of-life addon for Tensura that automatically switches on newly acquired resistances and nullifications.

Normally, gaining a new resistance does not necessarily mean it is immediately enabled. Auto Resist removes that little bit of menu housekeeping.

What it does

When you acquire a new Tensura resistance or nullification:

  1. Auto Resist detects the new skill.
  2. If the resistance is currently disabled and Tensura allows it to be toggled, the mod enables it.
  3. After that, control goes completely back to you.

That's it.

The mod does not continuously force resistances on.

If you manually disable a resistance afterward, Auto Resist will leave it disabled.

Example

You acquire Heat Resistance during normal gameplay.

Auto Resist enables it once.

Later, you decide you don't want Heat Resistance active and switch it off yourself.

It stays off.

Acquiring another resistance will enable the newly acquired resistance without changing your previous choice.

Existing resistances

Resistances you already own are not automatically enabled when you join a world.

Auto Resist only reacts when a resistance is newly acquired while the mod is active.

A resistance that is genuinely removed and later acquired again is treated as a new acquisition.

Addon resistance support

Auto Resist is designed around Tensura's normal resistance and ManasCore skill systems.

Resistances and nullifications from other addons are expected to work when they use Tensura's standard ResistSkill, belong to its resistance category, and follow normal ManasCore acquisition/toggle systems. Third-party addon resistances have not been individually verified.

Mods using completely custom resistance systems may not be detected.

Multiplayer

Auto Resist performs its changes on the server.

It has been tested in:

  • Single-player
  • Multiplayer
  • Dedicated server environments
  • World/server restarts

Multiplayer clients were also successfully tested connecting to an Auto Resist server without installing the addon client-side.

Compatibility

Tested with

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • NeoForge 21.1.252
  • Tensura 2.0.1.3
  • ManasCore 4.0.0.2
  • Architectury 13.0.11

Compatibility with other versions is not currently claimed unless explicitly tested. Version 1.0.0 requires Tensura 2.0.1.3. Human-driven survival progression and wider modpack compatibility remain unverified.

Scope

This mod intentionally does one thing.

It does not:

  • change resistance strength or effects;
  • alter resistance acquisition chances;
  • modify progression requirements;
  • automatically enable unrelated skills;
  • repeatedly re-enable resistances;
  • override manual player choices;
  • add new resistance mechanics.

Acquire resistance. Enable resistance. Get out of the way.

Installation

Install the mod on the server alongside its required Tensura environment.

For single-player, install it normally into your modded Minecraft instance.

The addon itself does not need to be installed on multiplayer clients when connecting to a compatible server using the tested configuration.

Feedback

If you encounter a resistance that does not automatically enable, especially one added by another Tensura addon, please include the name of the resistance and the addon that provides it when reporting the issue.
