Create: Take a seat, Piglin! - Automated Bartering

Automate piglin bartering with Create.

At a glance

• A seated piglin barters your gold into loot, no clicking required.
• Reads gold off a Create depot or a moving belt.
• Same drop table as vanilla bartering. Nothing rebalanced.
• Slip a gold block under the seat and it watches a wider area.
• Bonus: you can finally leash a calm piglin, which vanilla won't let you do.

Why I made this

Bartering pays out well, but doing it is a chore. You toss an ingot, wait for the admire animation, grab the drop, then do it all again. Once your factory is humming it feels silly that you're the slowest part of the line. So I made a mod that handles it for you.

Setup

1) Sit the piglin on a Create seat so it can't wander off.

2) Give it a name tag so it won't despawn.

3) Make sure it's an adult. Babies won't trade.

4) Put gold ingots on a depot or belt right next to it.

Learn it in-game

No need to leave the game to read this. The mod ships with Create's Ponder scenes, so you can watch the whole setup animate in front of you. Hover over a gold ingot in your inventory (or in JEI/EMI) and press W to open it. Three scenes walk through the basics: the depot bartering loop, the detection range and gold-block boost, and several piglins trading in parallel.

How it works

• Gold on a depot: the piglin trades it in place and the loot drops into the depot's output.
• Gold on a belt: it waits for the ingot to reach its closest point, stops it, turns to face it, then puts the loot back on the belt to ride on.
• A trade takes 120 ticks, about six seconds, matching the vanilla admire time.
• It searches a 3×3×3 cube by default. Park a block of gold under the seat and that grows to 7×7×7, big enough for one piglin to cover a few belts at once.
• Leashing: you can put a lead on any calm piglin. Brutes and angry ones still shrug it off.

Loot comes straight from a bartering loot table, so the odds match trading by hand. Trade time and both ranges live in the config if you want to tweak them.
