Quickstart

Craft a multi-tool by combining an axe, pickaxe, and hoe of the same material; the recipe works in any crafting-grid arrangement. Hold the tool and use it on blocks as you would the matching vanilla tool. It adapts to the target: mine stone, chop logs, till soil, or shovel dirt. Use sneak + use to cycle the displayed mode: Axe → Pickaxe → Shovel → Hoe. The WORLDSHAPER has extra abilities: use it on a ripe crop to harvest and replant it, or select Shovel mode and use it in the air to cycle its excavation area.

Overview

Survival Multi Tool combines axe, pickaxe, hoe, and shovel functions in one durable item. Its six material tiers range from wood to netherite. Most behavior is shared across the tiers; the netherite WORLDSHAPER also fells trees, clears ore veins, harvests crops with replanting, and excavates areas.

What It Adds

How To Use

• Mine and chop: Break blocks normally. The tool adapts to pickaxe, axe, shovel, or hoe targets, and its displayed mode updates to match the kind of block.
• Strip wood: Use the tool on a supported log or wood block to strip it. This works with the standard overworld woods and crimson and warped stems and hyphae.
• Make paths: Use it on suitable dirt or soil with air above to create a dirt path.
• Till soil: Use it on dirt, grass blocks, dirt paths, podzol, or mycelium to make farmland. Coarse dirt and rooted dirt turn into dirt.
• Cycle modes: Sneak and use the tool to cycle Axe → Pickaxe → Shovel → Hoe. The current mode appears in the tooltip and briefly on screen.

Crafting And Obtaining

Each recipe is shapeless and uses an axe, pickaxe, and hoe of the same tier. The recipes are available in the recipe book.

Abilities And Mechanics

The WORLDSHAPER adds four special abilities:

• Tree felling: Mining a log breaks connected logs of that same type, up to 64 total. Diagonally connected logs count.
• Vein mining: Mining an ore breaks connected blocks of the same ore, up to 32 total. Blocks must be connected by faces, not just corners.
• Triple Harvest: Use the tool on a fully grown crop to harvest it, replant it at its first growth stage, and collect nearby drops. It does not increase the crop’s yield.
• Earthmover: In Shovel mode, mining dirt, grass blocks, sand, red sand, gravel, clay, mud, snow, snow blocks, soul sand, or soul soil also excavates a square around the target. Use the WORLDSHAPER in the air while in Shovel mode to cycle the area between 3×3, 5×5, and 7×7. The square is oriented to your facing direction.

The WORLDSHAPER is fireproof. Tree felling, vein mining, and Earthmover use tool durability as they break blocks.

Progression And Strategy

Craft the tier that matches the tools you have; each multi-tool recipe uses three vanilla tools of that same material. The WORLDSHAPER is the netherite-tier choice for faster, larger-scale gathering. For careful work, remember that its tree felling and Earthmover can break many blocks from a single mining action
