Stow 1.0.3 — fast chest sorting and rocket refill
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Faster chest sorting
With Stow and the companion updated to 1.0.3, vanilla chests (including trapped/double), barrels, ender chests and shulker boxes sort in one validated server operation. Existing middle-click, Shift/Ctrl sort orders, localized names and stack combining are preserved. Pinned slots, player inventory and cursor stay untouched.
The server checks the menu, distance, unchanged contents, permissions, stack limits and exact item/component totals. Requests are limited to 54 storage slots and 24 KiB. Player-inventory sorts, custom/restricted menus, older/absent companions and oversized item data retain the client click queue. Changed contents stop safely; missing replies time out after five seconds without replay. Servers can set fastChestSorting=false in config/stow-companion.properties and restart if protection/storage mods require individual click handling.
Rocket refill
Refill blocks and rockets now supports either hand, including Elytra boosts. Rocket refill waits for a server-confirmed count decrease; unsuccessful uses do not refill. The threshold remains 0–16 (default 8), with 0 refilling after the final block or rocket. Reserve components must match, including flight duration and explosions; backpack reserves are preferred and pinned donors are skipped. Opening a menu, carrying a cursor item, changing the item/components or the selected slot for a pending main-hand refill, or sorting/depositing cancels pending refill. No companion is needed. Existing settings are retained.
Percentage-only equipment HUD
Show percentage only now replaces raw durability with the percentage alone (for example 4%). When disabled, only remaining durability is shown. The layout preview follows the setting. Warning colors and thresholds stay the same; the detailed Equipment Watch screen still shows percentage and current/maximum durability.
Finished projects and villager drag fix
Materials → Finish project unlocks when every goal meets its target. Finished counts, bars and project HUD use neutral blue while totals stay live and rows show N used. Reopen project restores planning colors. Both actions support Undo; finished state is saved per project without resetting targets, selected chests or HUD priorities. Show finished project totals is on by default and can hide the finished project HUD. Older saves load unfinished.
Stow Shift-drag and bundle-drag gestures skip vanilla trade/crafting result slots, preventing accidental repeat trades when crossing a villager output. Direct Shift-click keeps native batch-trading/crafting behavior. No new setting or companion is required for this safeguard.
Install and checks
Minecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader 0.19.5+, Java 25; Fabric API 0.161.0+26.3 and Cloth Config 26.3.159+ required. Mod Menu 21.0.0 is optional. Remove Mouse Wheelie. Replace previous JARs; update both client and companion for fast sorting, installing both locally for single-player. Saved project/chest-memory data stays compatible.
The JDK 25 build and metadata/translation checks passed. Actual Minecraft runtime checks passed: 112 release + 37 Finish/Reopen, 61 acceleration-disabled queue checks across all five sort orders, eight block-refill checks and both dedicated-server GameTests. Coverage includes actual Elytra rocket use/refill in both hands, HUD rendering, villager gestures, sorting networking and invalid-change rejection. The actual multiplayer modpack and its Timber/protection mods remain unverified.
