Stow 1.0.1 — Update-check hardening
- Update checks now reject responses larger than 8 MiB instead of reading them fully into memory. Normal GitHub, Modrinth and CurseForge metadata is far below this limit. An oversized response counts as an unavailable service, just like other failed checks.
- The Gradle wrapper verifies downloaded Gradle distributions against a pinned SHA-256 checksum.
- The local development bootstrap verifies downloaded libraries against pinned hashes and requires a hash for every Fabric library.
No gameplay, control or settings changes. Existing projects, material goals, chest selections and preferences keep their saved format; no migration is required.
For Minecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader 0.19.5+ and Java 25+. The client requires Fabric API 0.161.0+26.3 and Cloth Config 26.3.159+. Remove Mouse Wheelie before installing Stow. The optional companion is a separate download and requires Fabric API, with no Cloth Config dependency.
