Stars Unknown brings planetary exploration to Minecraft, with five alien worlds, fifteen biomes, survival equipment, spacecraft upgrades, and discoveries that open the way to your next destination.

Bound across silent lunar landscapes. Cross windswept deserts beneath twin suns. Explore alien groves where the flowers deserve a little suspicion. Dive beneath vast oceans, or brave a fractured volcanic world where even gravity works against you.

Each planet has its own terrain, resources, atmosphere, gravity, temperatures, skies, and weather. Your equipment matters just as much as your curiosity.

Craft the Kestrel, your personal exploration vessel, and prepare for departure.

Install upgrades, manage Power Cells, and add a cargo hold for everything you insist on bringing home. Board your ship, choose a discovered destination, and jump through a tunnel of light.

Your departure point is remembered, so the journey home leads back to where you started.

Spacecraft travel uses a cinematic planetary jump system.

Watch your oxygen, prepare for extreme temperatures, and keep an eye on the weather.

Sandstorms, deep-water pressure, toxic rain, and poisonous liquids give exploration real consequences. Craft a sealed expedition suit, equip life-support gear, and maintain your equipment at the Suit Workbench.

The view may be breathtaking. Sometimes rather literally.

💬 Meet A.R.I.A.

Your onboard assistant provides voiced planetary introductions, important warnings, and the occasional unsolicited opinion.

With your Survey Helmet equipped, her messages appear through an animated communication display alongside your planetary instruments.

“Please try not to die. I already have enough to deal with today.”

She cares about your survival. Her patience is a separate resource.

New destinations begin as unknown worlds. Locate lost flight recorders, repair their technology, and recover navigation data to reveal your next route.

Your Field Journal, received when you first join, provides a short introduction and illustrated crafting recipes. The rest is yours to discover.
