SproutLedger
Read a crop's actual growth stage and the moisture stored in its farmland.
Sneak-right-click a wheat, beetroot, carrot or potato plant with a vanilla hoe in your main hand and an empty offhand. SproutLedger reports the crop name, current age / maximum age, whether it is mature, and soil moisture from 0 to 7.
- All six vanilla hoe materials are supported.
- Beetroot uses its own maximum stage of 3; wheat, carrots and potatoes use 7.
- Reads only the clicked crop and the farmland immediately beneath it.
- Does not harvest, replant, water, fertilize, change crop/soil state or damage the hoe.
- Normal clicks, other held ingredients, occupied offhands, unsupported blocks and spectator mode keep ordinary interactions.
- English and German messages are included with a server fallback.
- A separate hoe gesture allows Fieldhand's existing empty-hand inspection to remain available.
Age is a block-state growth stage, not a percentage or a timer. Moisture is the farmland's current stored value, not a water-distance measurement, growth-speed forecast or general farm-health diagnosis.
Installation
Minecraft Java 1.21.11, Fabric Loader >=0.19.0, Fabric API, Java 21. Install the release JAR in the Fabric mods folder. This release supports the four vanilla crop types listed above; modded crops/tools and other versions/loaders are not included.
Build and real singleplayer gameplay checked all four crop types, growth-stage limits, soil values0/4/7, wooden/diamond hoes, ordinary clicks, invalid ingredients, occupied-offhand exclusion and coexistence with Fieldhand. Dedicated-server/client-without-mod compatibility is not yet independently tested. The other four hoe materials are explicitly supported but were not individually exercised in-game.
