Splattered is a gore mod, the over exaggerated thing the old games used to have.
Hit something and it bleeds a little. Hit it hard and it explodes.
The blood stuff stays around for a while, then dries up and fades
Forge 1.20.1 | Client and server

Blood goes the way the hit was going, and bigger hits throw more of it ofc.
Wounds show up on the mob itself, and once it's badly hurt it drips as it moves. Players bleed as well.

Deal way more damage than it had left and it breaks into chunks of its own model, its like lego bricks flying around..
Explosions and deadly falls trigger it as well

12 kinds of blood. Skeletons only shatter into bone and leave no stain. Golems and blazes don't bleed at all.
Modded mobs get guessed from their name, so a modded spider should get spider blood.. hopefully.
If it guesses wrong, put the mob in a tag like splattered:blood/ichor and it'll work just fine!

Blood sticks to floors and walls and drips down them for a bit then stops
It goes from red to brown and it's gone after about 6 minutes. That clip is sped up INSANELY, the clock in the corner is the real time. (m/s)

Rain makes it disappear significantly faster

Anything that walks through fresh blood just smears it around and leaves footsteps

It's very well optimized... very.
- Without Emberbium: same worst case on plain Forge was 1.5 ms per frame, and 0.25 ms with stains only. It draws significantly faster with Emberbium, so use it!

- It has to be on both the client and the server.
- If your PC lagging: turn on
reducedVisualsin the config. It halves the particles and skips the most expensive effects. It turns on by itself with a shader pack or Fast graphics. - Commands:
/splattered test redsprays blood at the block you're looking at, and any blood type works./splattered statsshows how much its lagging your game etc.
