# Spiritspeller
Spiritspeller turns the Spiritcaller and the Magispeller into gear you can wear.
It adds one endgame relic set: a pre-seeded spellbook, a four piece robe that
renders as the boss himself, and a pair of living wings. Nothing here is a
sidegrade. This is the last thing you craft in a world, and the cost reflects it.
## The Spiritspeller Codex
A unique spellbook that arrives fully attuned. No hunting scrolls, no leveling up.
* Comes pre-seeded with all six Spiritcaller and Magispeller spells at maximum
level: Blazing Imprint, Spirit's Chosen, Hellish Horde, Handemic, Restorative
Rain, and Zoom 'n Boom.
* 21 spell slots. Your six signature spells plus fifteen free for anything else.
* Equips into the Curios spellbook slot, so you cast straight off the scroll
wheel without holding it.
* Carries its own mana, spell power, summon damage, regeneration, cooldown and
cast time bonuses on top of the regalia.
## The Spiritcaller Regalia
Four pieces: Hood, Robe, Vestments, Sandals. Wear them and you stop looking like
a player wearing armor. You look like the Spiritcaller, at his height.
**Magic**
* 10,000 maximum mana.
* Spell power raised to 12, and every school of magic raised alongside it. The
two multiply, so spells land at many times their base damage.
* Roughly 92% cooldown reduction and 92% faster casting.
* Ten times mana regeneration.
* Six times summon damage, and triple magic resistance.
**Survival**
* 93 armor and 18 toughness.
* Complete fire immunity. Fire damage is refused outright and you never catch
alight.
* Poison never applies.
* No fall damage, ever.
* **Death ward.** A blow that would kill you is refused instead of dealt. You are
wrapped in Resistance X and mended on the spot by the holy Heal spell. Ordinary
hits still hurt, so combat still matters.
**Flight**
* Press the flight key (default J) while wearing the full set to rise into a
hover. Press it again to come down. Jump stays jump, so you can still hop a
block without taking off.
## The Spiritcaller's Wings
Glowing wings that sit at your shoulders and beat when you fly.
* Glide like an elytra. Tap jump while falling to spread them.
* Tap jump again in flight to surge toward wherever you are looking, with a
crystalline burst and no cooldown.
* Trail spirit motes the whole time they carry you.
* Wear them in the chest slot or the Curios back slot, so you can run the robe
and the wings together.
## Epic Fight Support
Fully supported, and built for it. In battle mode the regalia renders at the
Spiritcaller's true height, your own body is hidden beneath it, and the wings and
halo are anchored to the robe so they hold steady through every stance and
animation. Epic Fight is optional. The mod works without it.
## Crafting
Deliberately brutal. This is a full endgame chase, not a crafting recipe.
Everything is built from **Spiritcaller's Embers**, and each Ember costs eight
nether stars and a Divine Soulshard. Every piece of the set then takes four
Embers plus the loot of a different major boss.
| Piece | Boss material | Centerpiece |
|------------|----------------------|------------------------|
| Codex | Witherite Ingot | Dragon Egg |
| Hood | Ancient Metal Ingot | Monstrous Horn |
| Robe | Ignitium Ingot | Bulwark of the Flame |
| Vestments | Cursium Ingot | Void Shard |
| Sandals | Enderite Ingot | Essence of the Storm |
| Wings | Divine Soulshard | Elytra |
The full set runs to roughly **192 nether stars**, 24 Divine Soulshards, and the
corpses of nearly every major boss in the pack. The Codex is gated behind the
Dragon Egg, which a world only ever gives you once.
## Requirements
**Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge.**
Required:
* Iron's Spellbooks
* Illager and Spillage Spellbooks (ias_spellbooks)
* Illage and Spillage
* Curios API
Optional:
* Epic Fight, for the full battle mode presentation.
* L_Ender's Cataclysm is needed for the crafting recipes, since the set is gated
behind its boss materials. The items themselves work without it.
## Compatibility Notes
Spiritspeller also quietly repairs two things in the mods it sits on top of.
Summoned spirits and spirit hands from ias_spellbooks crash on current Iron's
Spellbooks versions and stand idle instead of fighting. Spiritspeller patches
both, so the summons spawn, hunt, and despawn cleanly. It also fixes the missing
effect icons that leave a magenta and black square beside summoned mobs in Epic
Fight's health bars.
