Simply Tools
This mod is the successor of Vanilla Hammers and Vanilla Excavators for Forge on 1.19+. It could be combined with MoreVanillaLib to have some special effects for most of the tools.
Hammers will mine like a pickaxe, but in a 3x3 area.
Excavators will mine like a shovel, but in a 3x3 area.
If MoreVanillaTools is present, the tool materials of this mod will also enable hammers and excavators for it.
This mod needs LibX installed!
Are these repairable? My friend stated he couldn't repair his hammer on the anvil.
In reply to wheezerx:
Yes, they are repairable. I’d say you the material but I don’t know which hammer your friend has. But it should be the material which is used for the heads.
What does "power of the depth" enchantment do?
In reply to Magnic_:
Increases the mining depth of hammers/excavators. +1 for each level.

Maybe you have the wrong Forge or LibX version. Send me your log and I tell you.
In reply to MelanX:
No worries finally got it to work, seems that you have to use Forge 41.0.63 and not any version above.
Thanks
In reply to lirstrom:
Yes, most mods don't work with 41.0.64 and above at the moment because there was a huge change.
Hello, I'm really enjoying this mod so far. Question, where do I go within the config to make some tools durability last longer? Some are breaking way too quick for my liking. Thanks!
In reply to PDamion:
Only selected tools: not possible. Otherwise, you’ll just increase the modifier in the config.
Thank you very much!
In reply to MelanX:
Hmm, I'm not quite sure what you mean. I did actually increase the modifier even all the way up to 100 but it still wasn't making a difference. There isn't a way to bump the stone hammer's for example, durability's up?
In reply to PDamion:
The modifier only allow values up to 10 iirc. You also need to restart the game for this change to take effect because the durability values are fixed after starting the game.
if you did this, please send me your config file and your log, maybe you did something wrong. You could join my discord for this: melanx.de/discord
Is there a version of this for Fabric?
In reply to LookItsMikeO:
Search for vanilla hammers and vanilla excavators
In reply to MelanX:
Those don't work with 1.19 though.
In reply to LookItsMikeO:
Then they’re not updated yet
Why don't the old mods carry over? I have to lose my excavator and hammer AGAIN in my current world if I want to move to 1.19. Why can't you just keep things the way they are if they work already? To just update the existing mods would have not caused any of these issues.
In reply to simonjonnemeth:
Sorry that I improved things, got rid of a dependency, combined both mods to just one, added compat for other mods, improved the performance and a few other things. You could simply edit your playerdata before updating the world and change the modids of each tool or just give you the tools.
Oh, and I also changed recipes and other stuff because things just change. I'm sorry that you have problems with it but most users don't have a world for multiple versions. If I remember this situation here when I change things that way again, I try that the data will automatically be fixed (like vanilla does with some things)
