Vanilla materials have now a new reason to exist!
You have too much redstone or nether quartz? You don't know what you're wasting it on? This mod is the solution!
It adds the following stuff for the following materials.
This mod requires MoreVanillaLib. (1.19+ doesn’t need it but it adds features)
Recipes
Bone
Coal
Emerald
Ender
Fiery
Glowstone
Lapis
Nether
Obsidian
Paper
Prismarine
Quartz
Redstone
Slime
Each tool has its right to exist. Mainly the pickaxes have an effect when mining the respective ore. Each tool has a higher chance of dropping more of the respective material. Only obsidian increases the mining speed.
Be aware of using paper tools: They could cut you to death.
This mod is very configurable by MoreVanillaLib.
For more information, install JEI to get an ingame documentation for each tool.
can you add weapon cool downs? they all have extremely quick cooldowns which makes them really overpowered, especially emerald equipment, as villages make emeralds so easy to get, the emerald tools are way overpowered and need to be nerfed
other than that, good mod. I like it
In reply to UtopianVirtual:
Weapon cooldowns? I think yes, could add it. Just not quite sure what exactly you mean.
Yes, emerald is a problem to balance... will try that, too.
Please add a tier list for all those that don't use JEI
And also, pleae add copper tools since it's also a common thing to find in 1.18 terrain generation
In reply to allengamer__:
Sounds like a good idea.
Please add copper tools <3
In reply to luckynhoc:
They would be pretty low, maybe less than stone 🤔 I think about it
the mods is not working and it gave me error and tells me i need forge when i already have newer version forge? the libX and the MoreVanillaLib are the same thing error and needs forge? i wanted to use MoreVanillaTools but your mod is not functioning at the moment
In reply to hardigy:
Without the error, I cannot help you. Which MC version do you use? Which mods versions do you use?
In reply to MelanX:
My MC is on 1.19 even my forge installer and the mods i use are also on 1.19
In reply to hardigy:
Okay, if you don't want to provide the exact versions and the error, I'm unable to help you, sorry. I'd really like to help you.
Just tested and I have no idea what's wrong for you:
In reply to MelanX:
i'm sorry i don't know how to send the screenshots but the error says
Mod morevanillatools requires forge 41.0.35 or above
Currently, forge is 41.0.1
Mod libx requires forge 41.0.33 or above
Currently, forge is 41.0.1
i'm sorry if this is a hastle i'm new to MC and i want to use you MoreVanillaTools mod but if there nothing you can do i guess thats alright
In reply to hardigy:
Then you don’t have the newest version. You have the version which was released on the day 1.19 was released. If you use CurseForge launcher, I think you need to go to your profile settings and can change the forge version there.
Hello um all the tools has 4 attack speed is there a way to make it slower?
In reply to bmd_polar:
Yes, there is a config for that - "config/morevanillalib/tools.json5". There you can search for NormalTools and you can have fun with the speed modifieres. I will improve this in 1.19.
This mod is that kind of least original ideas ever, yet.. I have to say, I love the shading on these tools, that makes them feel so good, even though the concept were used like thousands of times XD I may download it even, since aesthetics are really pleasing.
In reply to Toma400:
I made the mod based on an joke/insider. I didn't care about original idea. But thank you! The textures should change in future. I hope you will still like them.
Can You update this to 1.18.1
In reply to starblaster2010:
Ehm… no, I can’t. I think I could only do it once and not a second time, sorry :/ I think you need to download the current 1.18.1 versions, sorry
Please weaken some tools, they are way too overpowered for their materials. Either make them more expensive or a pain to get, or just reduce the amount of damage they deal (second option is way better in my opinion though), if it's not a problem for you of course :)
In reply to qafar:
Yes, I totally agree. I’m just not sure, what exactly the values should be. I already re-balanced all the tools. They’re still just too powerful :D
If you create a modpack which includes these tools, you could configure nearly everything in morevanillalib config.
