What's new
SharedLife Plus 1.0.2
New options
- World reset on death — renamed from Death resets everyone. Now only controls whether the world regenerates after a shared death. The "kill everyone when someone dies" part is implicit when Shared life (HP pool) is on, so you can finally have shared deaths without the world reset.
- Copy inventory after death — when on, the shared inventory is preserved across a shared death (with or without world reset). Players respawn with the same items they had before dying.
- Lose inventory on death — when on, items vanish entirely on a shared death: no drops on the ground, no recovery, no restore. Hardcore mode.
- The two inventory options above are mutually exclusive: activating one automatically disables the other server-side, and the UI reflects the change.
- New commands:
/sharedlife_plus toggle worldreset,/sharedlife_plus toggle copyinv,/sharedlife_plus toggle loseinv.
Bug fixes
- Shared death was tied to world reset (reported by a player on the mod page): turning off the death-reset toggle would only kill the player who died, breaking the whole "shared life" idea. The two behaviours are now independent — disabling world reset still kills everyone, they just respawn in the same world.
- Buggy health bar after disabling reset (same report): caused by the dying player's vanilla respawn overwriting the shared HP value and propagating 20 HP back to everyone. Now the shared-death flow handles all players atomically and the health bar stays consistent.
- Silent inventory loss with copy mode: between the moment of death and the respawn, the inventory reconciler treated dead players (with empty inventories) as the source of truth and wiped
state.inventory, so the copy-back step found nothing to restore. Reconciler now skips dead and dying players. - Duplicate item piles on the ground: with shared inventory, every dead player used to drop a copy of the same inventory, producing N identical piles (an exploit if recovered). When Copy or Lose is on, the pre-clear step prevents the drops; in default vanilla mode the behaviour is unchanged.
Internal / saves
- Existing worlds saved under 1.0.x keep their
deathResetsAllpreference automatically (read as the newresetWorldOnDeath; no manual migration needed). - Language bundle bumped — first server start on 1.0.2 will refresh the bundled language files on disk to pick up the new toggle labels and the updated status line.
