SharedLife Plus
A hardcore co-op SMP experience where the entire team shares inventory, health and hunger — when one player dies, everyone dies together. Configure whether the world regenerates, whether items drop, and whether the shared inventory is preserved across deaths.
What is SharedLife Plus?
Turn any Minecraft world into a one-life-shared-by-all challenge. Every item picked up by one player appears in everyone's inventory. Every hit taken hurts the whole team. And when someone dies, the whole team dies with them — you choose what happens next: teleport everyone to a brand-new untouched area for run #2, or stay in the same world and respawn together.
Designed for small co-op groups looking for a fresh take on hardcore SMP — coordination matters, every death has weight, and the death mode is fully configurable to fit the group's playstyle.

Core Features
- Shared inventory — when one player picks up an item, it appears in everyone's inventory in real-time
- Shared health — damage taken by one player hurts the whole team; sounds and hit-flashes propagate so you feel when others take a hit
- Shared hunger and saturation — eat for everyone
- Shared death — when anyone dies, the whole team dies. Triggered automatically by shared health (one HP pool means one death drags the rest)
- Configurable world reset — after a shared death, optionally regenerate the world: a 5-second "GAME OVER" countdown plays and the entire team teleports to a fresh, untouched part of the world (~250 000 blocks away) with a new spawn and world border. Turn it off to keep playing in the same world after dying together
- Configurable inventory behaviour on death — three mutually exclusive modes:
- Vanilla (default): items drop on the ground, players respawn empty
- Copy: the shared inventory is preserved — players respawn with the same items they had before dying (works both with and without world reset)
- Lose: items vanish entirely — no drops, no recovery, full hardcore
- Smart spawn — uses biome sampling to land on actual continents, not in the middle of an ocean
- World cleanup — old run areas are automatically deleted from disk to keep your world folder small
- Damage broadcast — every hit shows in chat: "
Victor took 2.0 damage (Zombie)" - Death history — persistent log of every fatal death across all runs

In-Game UI
HUD — press H to show/hide
- Player head + session timer (
00H 12M 45S) - Personal death counter — only the local player's deaths
- Server-wide total deaths counter across all runs
- Live coordinates and compass direction
- Toggle the whole overlay on/off with H — handy for screenshots or a cleaner screen; your choice is remembered between sessions
Death Scoreboard — press K
Compact panel showing deaths per player and the most recent fatal deaths with their causes and timestamps. Available to all players.

Admin Settings panel (operators only)
Open the panel two ways: click the ❤ SharedLife button in the pause menu (Esc), or press J. Everything is managed from here — no commands needed:
- Toggle Shared life / Shared food / Shared inventory live
- Reset world on death, Copy inventory after death, Lose inventory on death (the last two are mutually exclusive — enabling one disables the other)
- Session — start or stop the shared session with a click (shows ACTIVE / paused)
- Reset deaths — clear the death counter and history
- Reset world — force a brand-new run, with a double-click confirmation so it can't be triggered by accident
Every change is applied server-side and every connected client sees it instantly. The H, K and J keys are listed and fully rebindable under their own "SharedLife Plus" section in Options → Controls.

The Game Over moment
What happens when someone takes lethal damage depends on how you've configured the death behaviour:
With Reset world on death (default)
Vanilla death is cancelled and the entire team freezes in spectator mode for a 5-second countdown. Then the world regenerates and everyone teleports to a brand-new area with full hearts and full hunger — ready to start again. If Copy inventory is on, players carry their items across into the new run; otherwise they start fresh.
Without Reset world on death
Everyone dies vanilla — the "You Died" screen appears for all players and they respawn at the world's normal spawn point. The inventory mode you picked (vanilla drops, copy, or lose) decides whether items drop on the ground, are restored after respawn, or vanish entirely.
Multi-language support
Ships with five languages out of the box:
- English (
en_us) - Spanish (
es_es) - German (
de_de) - French (
fr_fr) - Brazilian Portuguese (
pt_br)
Every player automatically sees the mod in their own Minecraft language — the HUD, menus and chat all follow each client's game language. Nothing to configure and no resource pack needed: a player running Minecraft in Spanish sees SharedLife Plus in Spanish, while a teammate in German sees it in German, on the very same server.

Designed for hardcore worlds
The mod's mechanic replaces vanilla hardcore behaviour:
- Death doesn't permanently lock players in spectator
- Heart UI keeps the iconic hardcore look
- Players are auto-revived after the run-reset countdown (or simply respawn vanilla if the world-reset mode is off)
- Player NBT corruption (saved at 0 HP) is healed automatically on load
If you previously played on a vanilla hardcore world and someone died, just install the mod and run /sharedlife_plus reset — everyone comes back to life in a brand-new area.
Configuration files
The mod creates and reads:
world/data/sharedlife_plus__state.dat— persistent state (run number, inventory, settings, death log)
Requirements
- Minecraft 26.1.2
- Fabric Loader 0.19.2 or newer
- Fabric API 0.149.1+26.1.2 or newer
- Java 25
The mod must be installed on both server and clients: the server runs all the shared-state logic; the clients render the HUD, the scoreboard panel, the admin panel and the localized chat messages.
Server / client compatibility
- Works on dedicated and integrated (singleplayer) servers
- Designed primarily for co-op groups of 2–8 players
- Compatible with Fabric API; no other hard dependencies
