Description

Scale a Sable vehicle up or down - a giant airship, a palm-sized model boat, anything between - and have it still work.
/sablescale looking <n> scale whatever you are pointing at
/sablescale set <id> <n> 0.01 to 100
/sablescale reset <id> back to 1
That is the whole interface. There is no config file.

It feels the size it is
Sable already knew how to draw a scaled ship. What was missing was a way to set one, and everything that broke once you could:
- The scale saves and syncs. Worlds still open without the mod - scaled vehicles just come back at normal size, nothing is corrupted.
- A shrunk vehicle is lighter. The physics staff flicks it around like the toy it has become, water stops it fast, and it settles on its waterline instead of bobbing forever.
- Bearings, thrusters and arms hold themselves up at any size.
- Your reach on a small vehicle is the reach you expect.
- Scaling a machine scales the whole machine, including parts on bearings.
- Resizing keeps the vehicle sitting on the ground rather than inside it.

Known issues
- Rescaling a floating vehicle by a large factor in one step gives a brief lurch. Do it in stages.
- Scale first, then assemble a bearing. The other order leaves the joint in the wrong place.
Loaders
The NeoForge build is current. The Fabric build is older and does not have the physics work above - it has the commands and the saving, not the buoyancy, weight and bearing fixes.
The Creative Scaling Staff is not in this mod. It ships in the separate Create Scalable add-on.
Related mods
Requires Sable, on both server and client. NeoForge 1.21.1 (current) and Fabric 1.21.1 (behind). MIT. Free to use in modpacks.
