ReTerraForged 0.0.28 for Minecraft 26.1.2 (Fabric)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Main update: swamp trees no longer stand on a grid, swamp huts generate again, ReTerraForged trees by rivers, and optional warm oceans by rainforests.
ReTerraForged 0.0.28 for Minecraft 26.1.2 (NeoForge and Fabric). Requires Java 25. A fork of ReTerraForged (racoonman2 / TerraForged), LGPL-3.0-only.
What's new in 0.0.28:
- Warm Oceans by Rainforests (Climate page, #35, off by default): the sea of tropical rainforest regions is warm ocean, with coral reefs, as the deserts' sea is. Their climate is one step cooler than the deserts', so their sea was lukewarm (as next to jungles in vanilla). The land keeps its biomes.
Fixes (#34, all from the original ReTerraForged 0.0.6):
- Trees on a grid: swamps, plains, savannas, meadows, windswept hills and snowy plains had all their trees on the corner of their chunk, a 16-block grid. They are spread over the chunk now.
- Vanilla trees by rivers: rivers and frozen rivers kept vanilla's trees by the water (oaks). With Custom Biome Features on (the default) they are ReTerraForged's trees: oaks on rivers, pines on frozen rivers.
- Swamp huts: the wetlands, where the swamps are, were counted as river for structures, so swamp huts (and other mods' swamp structures) never generated.
/locate structure minecraft:swamp_hutfinds them again.
The tree changes are for new worlds: an existing world keeps the trees of the preset it was made with. Swamp huts can appear in the new chunks of existing worlds. The terrain of existing worlds is unchanged (checked: a world made by 0.0.27 opened with 0.0.28 has the same ground as a new one).
Tested: the release jars on real NeoForge 26.1.2.116 and Fabric 0.19.5 + Fabric API 0.155.3 servers on every version (self test with new checks: the swamp's trees spread over their chunks; NeoForge and Fabric generate the same terrain; a 0.0.27 world opened with 0.0.28); swamp huts located near swamps; the warm rainforest oceans (97 % of the rainforest regions' sea is warm ocean, the rest on region borders).
Known issues: changing the strata settings of an existing world (by replacing its preset datapack) changes the strata of new chunks, so cliffs may show a seam at the border of the old ones. The valley settings change new chunks only: turning them on in an existing world leaves a seam at the border of the old chunks. Extreme sea levels (see the tooltip). With William Wythers' Overhauled Overworld its forests grow its own trees instead of the ReTerraForged ones; on Fabric it needs Fabric Loader 0.18.5 or newer. Report problems at https://github.com/Vladeezyy/reterraforged/issues.
Singleplayer: Create World: ReTerraForged is on by default with the Default preset. To pick another preset or change settings, press ReTerraForged Settings on the Game tab, then Done. The "experimental settings" warning is normal, press Proceed.
Server: put the jar into mods/, and for a new world the preset datapack reterraforged-preset-26.1.2.zip (from this release) into world/datapacks/ before the first start.
