ReTerraForged 0.0.25 for Minecraft 26.1.2 (NeoForge)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
ReTerraForged 0.0.25 for Minecraft 26.1.2 (NeoForge and Fabric). Requires Java 25. A fork of ReTerraForged (racoonman2 / TerraForged), LGPL-3.0-only.
What's new in 0.0.25:
- Snow Line (new, on the Miscellaneous page, off by default): snow on the ground and on the trees above a height, whatever the biome, so mountains in warm climates finally get snowy peaks; still water above the line freezes. Snow Line Height sets the height, Snow Line Variation how far the edge goes up and down. Off, everything is as before.
- Ecliptic Seasons: rain and snow fall again in ReTerraForged worlds, with their sound (#22). Ecliptic Seasons took the surface biome of each column from y 0 (a cave biome under most land in ReTerraForged's terrain) and decided it had no precipitation; it now gets the biome at the surface. The terrain is unchanged. Chunks generated before the update keep the biome Ecliptic Seasons stored for them.
Worlds look exactly as with 0.0.24 while Snow Line is off (the default): the built-in presets and existing worlds are not changed.
Tested: the release jars on real NeoForge 26.1.2.116 and Fabric 0.19.5 + Fabric API 0.155.3 servers on every version (preset export, the Default world, NeoForge and Fabric generate the same terrain); a world with Snow Line on every version (the highest mountain is snowy above the line); with Ecliptic Seasons 0.15.5 on a 1.21.1 NeoForge client (rain and its sound as in a vanilla world).
Known issues: changing the strata settings of an existing world (by replacing its preset datapack) changes the strata of new chunks, so cliffs may show a seam at the border of the old ones. Worlds made with fork versions before 0.0.11 used the 1.21.1 port's generation; their new chunks now follow 0.0.6 and may show a seam at the border. Extreme sea levels (see the tooltip). With William Wythers' Overhauled Overworld its forests grow its own trees instead of the ReTerraForged ones; on Fabric it needs Fabric Loader 0.18.5 or newer. Singleplayer: Create World: ReTerraForged is on by default with the Default preset. To pick another preset or change settings, press ReTerraForged Settings on the Game tab, then Done. The "experimental settings" warning is normal, press Proceed.
Server: put the jar into mods/, and for a new world the preset datapack reterraforged-preset-26.1.2.zip (from this release) into world/datapacks/ before the first start.
