ReTerraForged: From the Ashes

Main update: snow depth on the Snow Line: the snow above the snow line can now be up to a full block deep, deeper towards the peaks (three new sliders on the Miscellaneous page).

ReTerraForged 0.0.26 for Minecraft 26.1.2 (NeoForge and Fabric). Requires Java 25. A fork of ReTerraForged (racoonman2 / TerraForged), LGPL-3.0-only.

What's new in 0.0.26:

• Snow depth on the Snow Line (Miscellaneous page, after Snow Line Variation): how deep the snow above the snow line lies. Snow Depth at the Line and Snow Depth on the Peaks (1 to 8 layers, 8 is a full block) and Snow Depth Growth (over how many blocks above the line the depth goes from the first to the second). Mountains can now get thick snow on their peaks; a peak depth lower than the line's makes the snow thinner higher up instead. Steep rock still sheds its snow.

With the default settings (1 and 1) the snow line lays one layer as in 0.0.25: the built-in presets and existing worlds are not changed.

From 0.0.26 on, new versions are released for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.21.11, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3. Minecraft 1.21.3 to 1.21.10 stay at 0.0.25.

Tested: the release jars on real NeoForge 26.1.2.116 and Fabric 0.19.5 + Fabric API 0.155.3 servers on every version (preset export, the Default world, NeoForge and Fabric generate the same terrain); a world with the snow line 2 to 8 layers deep on every version (every column above the line has the depth its height gives); the settings page in Russian (the new sliders fit).

Known issues: changing the strata settings of an existing world (by replacing its preset datapack) changes the strata of new chunks, so cliffs may show a seam at the border of the old ones. Worlds made with fork versions before 0.0.11 used the 1.21.1 port's generation; their new chunks now follow 0.0.6 and may show a seam at the border. Extreme sea levels (see the tooltip). With William Wythers' Overhauled Overworld its forests grow its own trees instead of the ReTerraForged ones; on Fabric it needs Fabric Loader 0.18.5 or newer. Singleplayer: Create World: ReTerraForged is on by default with the Default preset. To pick another preset or change settings, press ReTerraForged Settings on the Game tab, then Done. The "experimental settings" warning is normal, press Proceed.

Server: put the jar into mods/, and for a new world the preset datapack reterraforged-preset-26.1.2.zip (from this release) into world/datapacks/ before the first start.
