Random Weather

True Randomness: Unlike other mods that rely on fixed timers, this system ensures you never know whether it will rain, storm, or clear up. It brings a dynamic and unpredictable atmosphere to your world.

Status: The mod is stable but currently in beta. We invite everyone to test it and share your feedback!

Version 1.0.6 Update: Please monitor compatibility with the Serene Seasons mod and report any issues.

Thanks to this, you will experience everything from short, scattered showers and storms, to moderate-duration weather, and even long-lasting, continuous atmospheric fronts. Sunny, dry days are also common, representing periods of high pressure.

Important Notes

World Settings: Ensure that cheats are enabled in your world settings for the mod to function correctly.

OptiFine: If you use OptiFine, ensure that "Weather" is set to ON in your video settings; otherwise, weather effects may not be visible.

Mechanism: This mod manages weather patterns by executing commands.

Sleep Mechanic: Sleeping in a bed will reset the current weather, as per standard Minecraft behavior. If you wish to keep the current weather cycle, avoid sleeping, or embrace the sunny morning!

Compatibility

Serene Seasons: Fully compatible! Ideal for bringing season cycles to life.

Configuration: Set B:Change Weather Frequency to false in the Serene Seasons config. This allows our mod to take full control of the weather.

Dynamic Surroundings: Compatible!

Configuration: Set B:Enable Weather Control to false.

Weather2: Compatible. For the best experience, set Weather2 configuration to Global Overcast. This prevents conflicts and allows this mod to take full control of unpredictable weather cycles.

Recommended Setup

To achieve the most immersive survival experience, I recommend the following:

Serene Seasons Duration: Set to 15 days per season. This provides a perfect balance between seasonal climates and the dynamic, unpredictable weather changes provided by this mod.

Recommended Add-on: I highly recommend installing Snow Real Magic. Combined, these mods transform your world into a living, breathing ecosystem where no two seasons — or two years — are ever the same.

Resetting Weather

By default, sleeping resets the weather. If you wish to prevent this, I recommend using Weather2, as its configuration allows you to disable weather resets during sleep.
