Description
Rage Mobs
Ever wondered what would happen if farm animals fought back?
Rage Mobs gives peaceful animals a dangerous second side. When a player directly attacks a supported vanilla animal, that animal has a 30% chance to transform into a powerful Rage Mob. It rises to its feet, locks onto its attacker, and fights back.
Supported animals
- White Sheep
- Chickens
- Cows
- Pigs
Naturally spawned animals and animals created with commands are both supported.
How it works
- Find a supported vanilla animal.
- Hit it directly with your hand or a melee weapon.
- Each individual animal makes one permanent 30% transformation roll on its first valid hit.
- If selected, the original animal is replaced without drops or experience, then plays a short stand-up animation.
- After transforming, it prioritizes the player who attacked it and attacks at close range.
Animals that fail their roll stay normal forever—repeated hits do not reroll their chance.
Only direct player melee attacks can trigger the transformation. Damage from falling, fire, arrows, commands, and other mobs will not transform an animal.
Rage Mob behavior
Rage Mobs begin in a calm four-legged state. During their transformation they cannot move or attack. Once they finish standing up, they become hostile, pursue players, and use melee attacks.
When a transformation succeeds, the Rage Mob restores itself to 24 health (12 hearts). This means a selected animal can survive even a lethal triggering hit. Rage Mobs keep the normal loot table of their original animal when defeated.
Rage Chickens can fly toward their target. Rage Pigs are faster and can step up full blocks more easily.
Spawn eggs and commands
Rage Mob spawn eggs are available in Creative mode. You can also spawn them directly:
/summon ragemobs:rage_sheep ~ ~ ~
/summon ragemobs:rage_chicken ~ ~ ~
/summon ragemobs:rage_cow ~ ~ ~
/summon ragemobs:rage_pig ~ ~ ~
Spawned Rage Mobs start calm; attack one to trigger its transformation.
Requirements
Install both Rage Mobs and GeckoLib in your Minecraft mods folder.
