# Pueblo Vivo 1.2.0 - The Council Update

This update focuses on making Pueblo Vivo easier to understand, more alive, and more memorable during the first hours of gameplay.

## Added

### Council tutorial chain

The Village Council now guides new players through the early progression of the mod.

- The Contract Steward introduces the first mission: feed the village.
- The Master Builder guides players through marking a warehouse and expanding the village.
- The Civil Guardian introduces defense, threats, and specialization.
- The tutorial now teaches the core loop step by step:
  - feed the village,
  - mark a warehouse,
  - build the first defense,
  - expand with houses,
  - choose a village specialization.

### Council Missions Panel

The old contract panel has been expanded into a Council Missions Panel.

It now shows:

- main mission,
- mission objective,
- mission giver,
- mission progress,
- active contract,
- contract reward,
- contract progress,
- associated village,
- available contracts for the current world stage.

### Visible village consequences

Villages now visibly react to their current state.

- Low food can make villagers show hunger bubbles.
- High fear or emergencies can make villagers gather near bells, beds, or storage.
- Prosperous villages can show positive bubbles and more small vanilla decorations.
- These effects use vanilla villagers, particles, sounds, and blocks.

### Blueprint states

Blueprints in the Citizenship Panel now show real progression states:

- locked,
- unlocked,
- buildable,
- under construction,
- completed.

Blueprints can also show construction progress and material hints.

### First memorable threat

The first major threat is now a small story instead of a random attack.

- Day 1: a traveler warns about pillagers nearby.
- Day 2: a pillager scout appears near the village.
- Night 3: if the village is prepared, it survives and gains morale.
- If not prepared, a small pillager attack happens.
- The result is written into the village chronicles.

### New-player onboarding

New players now receive soft in-game guidance.

- First login explains how to start.
- Approaching a village gives a hint.
- Creating the Council House points the player toward the Contract Steward.
- The Citizenship Panel now includes a Help tab with simple first steps.

## Improved

### Construction feedback

Building projects now give clearer feedback.

- Project created message.
- Required materials.
- Deposit instructions.
- Missing material warnings.
- Builder assignment feedback.
- Existing village storage can be reused automatically when possible.

### Citizenship Panel UI

- Improved the Help tab layout.
- Made the tab row more compact.
- Reduced overlapping text.
- Added clearer guidance for creating the Council House with a book and Shift + right click.

## Notes

- This update focuses on onboarding, clarity, atmosphere, and early-game progression.
- No custom entities are added.
- Pueblo Vivo continues to use vanilla villagers, vanilla blocks, vanilla items, and vanilla-friendly systems.
