Pueblo Vivo is a Forge 1.20.1 mod that turns vanilla Minecraft villages into living settlements.
Instead of replacing Minecraft villages with a separate colony system, Pueblo Vivo expands the vanilla village experience. Villages can gain reputation, resources, projects, events, threats, visitors and chronicles while still using vanilla villagers, blocks, mobs and gameplay.
Main features:
- Player reputation based on how you treat and protect villages.
- Contract Master villager with missions and early progression.
- Citizenship Module item that opens the main village panel.
- Village stats: food, security, prosperity, fear, trust, morale, population, beds and iron golems.
- Village traits such as agricultural, mining, trading, frontier, fearful, prosperous or isolated.
- Economic specialization paths: food, mining, trade and defense.
- Village warehouse chest for shared resources.
- Predefined projects such as walls, watchtowers, wheat fields, torch zones and small houses.
- Ghost preview before confirming construction projects.
- Vanilla villagers can visually work as builders and place blocks over time.
- Dynamic village events based on real settlement conditions.
- Scalable threats such as pillager rumors, scouts and small attacks.
- Personal villager stories with nearby text bubbles.
- Living decoration using vanilla blocks when a village prospers.
- Visitors and migration events.
- Village chronicles that remember important events.
Beta note:
This is an early public beta. Core systems are playable, but balance, builder behavior, project placement and multiplayer/server testing will continue to evolve.
Requirements:
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Forge 47.x
- Java 17
Pueblo Vivo does not add custom blocks or custom entities. It uses vanilla blocks, vanilla villagers and vanilla mobs for settlement gameplay. The beta includes custom item icons and GUI elements for clarity.
