Potion Pouch
Summary
A leather Potion Pouch you wear on your back, stuffed with the drinks you'll need in a hurry. Hold a key and the Drink Wheel opens around your cursor with every slot in the pouch: point at a drink to pull it into your hand, or point at an empty slot to tuck away the one you're holding. There's no inventory screen to open; the wheel is how drinks go in and come out, and you can keep walking while you use it.
The pouch carries anything in #c:drinks: every vanilla potion (including splash and lingering), honey bottles, milk
and ominous bottles, plus other mods' drinks that use the tag, such as Fermented's wines, meads, beers and ciders.
Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge. Dependencies: Curios (required; the pouch is worn in its own Potion Pouch slot). JEI and EMI are optional.
Getting started
- Craft a Potion Pouch from 5 leather, 2 string and a glass bottle.
- Right-click it to wear it, or place it in the Potion Pouch slot of the Curios inventory. It hangs on your back.
- Hold a drink and hold G to open the Drink Wheel. Point at an empty slot and click (or let go of G) to put it away.
- Later, hold G with an empty hand, point at a drink and let go: it's in your hand.
Drink Wheel
Hold G (rebindable under Controls → Potion Pouch) while wearing a pouch. Slot 1 is at the top, going clockwise; empty slots show their number. Point anywhere in a slot's direction, outside the centre of the wheel.
| In your main hand | Pointing at | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Nothing | A drink | Takes the drink out |
| A drink | An empty slot | Puts the drink away |
| A drink | A drink | Swaps them |
| Anything else | Nothing; the wheel asks you to empty your hand or hold a drink |
- Click a slot to use it and keep the wheel open, to move several drinks in one go.
- Let go of G to close the wheel. If you didn't click anything, it uses the slot you're pointing at.
The Potion Pouch
- Holds 6 drinks (configurable, 1–54). Its tooltip shows how many are inside.
- Only drinks go in: anything in
#c:drinks. - Worn in the Potion Pouch Curios slot. Curios' render toggle hides it on your back; dying with it follows Curios' rules, the same as any other Curios item.
- Lowering the pouch size in the config hides the extra slots but never deletes what's in them; raising it again brings them back.

data/potion_pouch/curios/entities/potion_pouch.json; a data pack can override either (for example, to give players
two pouch slots with "size": 2).
