Pocket Factories
Big Factories. Small Spaces. Endless Possibilities!
Ever wished you could fit an entire industrial complex inside a single block? With Pocket Factories, you can!
Pocket Factories lets you create fully functional, expandable factory rooms inside compact blocks placed in your Minecraft world. Step inside, build your machines, organize your production lines, and connect everything to the outside world.
Whether you're building a small automated workshop or a massive industrial operation, Pocket Factories gives you the space to expand without taking over your entire base.
Features
Three Expandable Factory Tiers
Start small and expand as your needs grow!
-
Basic Factory: 7 × 7 × 7 interior
-
Advanced Factory: 15 × 15 × 15 interior
-
Industrial Factory: 31 × 31 × 31 interior
Upgrade your existing factory without tearing down your previous work!
Your factory expands around your existing construction, preserving supported machinery, inventories, configurations, and block placements.
No need to start over every time you need more room.
Real, Functional Factory Interiors
These aren't simulated inventories or decorative rooms.
Each Pocket Factory contains an actual, persistent Minecraft interior where you can place blocks, install machinery, store resources, and construct automated production systems.
Build everything from a simple furnace workshop to an elaborate industrial processing facility.
Connect Your Factory to the Outside World
Just because your machinery is hidden inside a block doesn't mean it has to be disconnected from everything else!
Pocket Factories supports configurable external connections for:
-
Items: Move materials between your factory and external inventories.
-
Fluids: Connect compatible tanks and fluid-handling equipment.
-
FE Energy: Supply power to machinery inside your factory or transfer it outward.
-
Redstone: Control machinery using redstone signals.
Configure connections across all six exterior faces to suit your automation setup.
Compatible machinery can interact with your factory's interfaces while remaining safely inside its pocket dimension.
Multiplayer Friendly
Build your own private industrial workshop or collaborate with friends!
Pocket Factories includes configurable access permissions:
-
Owner: Full control over the factory.
-
Trusted Members: Access and manage permitted factory operations.
-
Visitors: Enter and explore without receiving full management permissions.
-
Unauthorized Players: Restricted from accessing protected factories.
Your factories remain associated with their owners, helping protect your creations in multiplayer environments.
Portable Factories — Move Without Losing Your Work
Need to relocate your factory? Don't tear everything down and rebuild it!
Pocket Factories includes a packing and relinking system that lets you move your factory's exterior entrance while keeping the entire interior intact.
How to relocate your factory:
-
Pack Your Factory: As the factory owner, open the factory's control interface and select the Pack option.
-
Preserve Your Interior: Your factory is unlinked from its current exterior location, but everything inside remains associated with its original pocket dimension. Supported machines, inventories, configurations, and construction stay in place.
-
Move to Your New Location: Take the unique factory recovery kit to the desired location and use it to relink your factory to a new exterior anchor.
-
Resume Operations: Once successfully relinked, you can enter your factory again and reconnect external pipes, cables, and redstone equipment as needed.
Important details about relocation:
-
Packing does not empty your factory.
-
Machinery and construction are not transferred into an inventory item.
-
The actual factory interior remains in its original pocket dimension.
-
Each recovery kit is uniquely associated with one factory.
-
Recovery kits cannot be reused to duplicate factory interiors.
-
Packing and relinking require owner authorization.
-
Connections at the new exterior location may need to be reconfigured or reconnected.
-
Factories operate only when their required chunks are loaded.
-
Always use the dedicated packing and relinking system rather than ordinary block breaking when relocating.
Your entire factory stays intact. Only its entrance moves!
Built for Reliability
Your factory represents a lot of time, resources, and effort. Pocket Factories is designed with safeguards intended to protect that investment.
Features include:
-
Persistent factory identities.
-
Protected interior upgrades.
-
Server-authoritative ownership and permissions.
-
Transaction-aware item, fluid, and energy handling.
-
Safeguards against duplicate factory identities.
-
Recovery mechanisms for interrupted operations.
-
Persistent factory interiors across world saves and server restarts.
-
Safe handling of unloaded factory connections.
Pocket Factories has undergone extensive automated and multiplayer testing, including upgrade preservation, restart recovery, resource transfers, and factory relocation.
Important Gameplay Information
Chunk Loading
Pocket Factories does not automatically keep chunks loaded.
Machines inside a factory operate only while the required interior chunks are normally loaded.
External item, fluid, energy, and redstone connections also require their relevant endpoints to be loaded.
Simply standing near the exterior factory block does not automatically keep the interior running.
This behavior helps prevent unnecessary server load and keeps factory operations consistent with Minecraft's normal chunk-loading mechanics.
Mod Compatibility
Pocket Factories is designed to work with Minecraft's normal block and machine systems and uses NeoForge's supported resource-handling interfaces.
Compatibility testing includes vanilla machinery and selected machines from Energized Power.
However, not every modded block, attachment, cable, or multiblock structure is guaranteed to support factory upgrades.
If an upgrade would interfere with an unsupported machine or structural dependency, Pocket Factories may safely refuse the upgrade rather than risk damaging your construction.
Backups
Although Pocket Factories includes persistence and recovery safeguards, backing up important Minecraft worlds before installing new mods or updating existing installations is always recommended.
