📖 About:
Pick Up Notifier adds a pick up log, a neat list shown in the corner of your screen. Including fancy little sprites!
📚 Contents:
The log includes all the items and experience you've just picked up. Outdated entries will slowly move out of the screen. By default the display is shown in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Some customization options include: amount of ticks an entry will be shown for, amount of ticks it takes for an entry to move out of the screen, combining entries of equal type, whether item sprites should be drawn, and text color for item names.
The appearance of the display can be further customized: screen corner to show in, x and y offset from default position, height percentage the whole display is allowed to use, and a custom scale.

💡 FAQ:
Q: How do I configure this mod?
A: Editing configs directly in-game has not yet been implemented. Instead when in a world run the /config showfile <modid>
command by choosing either CLIENT
or SERVER
(depending on the mod), then click the file name (ending with .toml) that appears in chat to be able to manually edit the config file in a separate editor.

1.19?
Any backports planned? Specifically to 1.16.5?
If you could make it configurable to show when you lose items too (like the forge mod inventory spam) that would be amazing!
In reply to yourking1shere:
yes, but there are some edge cases that are not registered then (mainly picking up only a partial item stack from the ground when you do not have enough space in your inventory to pick up everything)
those can only be fixed by installing it on the server as well
After a crash related to a power outage, a certain world would repeatedly crash until I deleted the [pickupnotifier-client.toml & pickupnotifier-server.toml] files. Very odd issue.
This mod is not working at all. I have the mod installed along with the dependencies, and in singleplayer and multiplayer, the mod does not work. I tried tweaking things in the config and changing things around, but with no luck. Is the download accidentally downloading the forge version of the mod? I am not sure what else would be causing it to not work at all. I do have a good bit of other client side mods/tweaks installed so maybe there is a conflict.
In reply to JaxOnSaturn:
there has been another report of this on github, but we really tried a lot of things and never found anything conclusive
all of the rendering code is called as it should be, but nothing shows up on screen, it's really weird
also for the other person the issue vanished when pick up notifier was used alongside a few other mods
main problem just is I cannot reproduce the issue, no matter what system i try the mod on, it always works as intended
here is the other report: https://github.com/Fuzss/pickupnotifier-fabric/issues/4
What sound mods used in your video, they are really great.
In reply to mangguoi:
it is in the vid XD
It doesn't show being editable in the mod menu
In reply to Calaifur:
This was reported on GitHub and Fuzs_ mentions that the functionality for that is still a work in progress and not up on Curse yet. Right now, it seems like the best way to adjust the settings here is to open up the ../config/pickupnotifier-client.toml" file in a text editor to change things around manually. They mention a /config command, but that wasn't working for me in-game so I've been tinkering with the raw config file and it works just as well.
In reply to juvenall:
The command actually is a good suggestion for people struggling to find the file (it does work btw, just checked). In this case you'd have to type:
/config showfile pickupnotifier CLIENT
Also note the command only opens the file, not an in-game menu. As mentioned I'm still testing that.
Made a new fabric profile with fabric-loader-0.12.8-1.17.1 and installed:
Made a New World, hacked some wood, picked it up.
Result: No pickup notifications showing.
