PD: Hardcore
PD: Hardcore transforms your standard Minecraft server into a brutal, cinematic, and highly competitive survival experience. Designed for groups who want stakes that actually matter, this mod tracks every run, broadcasts live player stats, and completely automates the server-wipe process when the worst happens.
Features
📊 The Live Scoreboard
Keep tabs on your fellow survivors. A sleek, modern HUD overlay on the right side of your screen broadcasts the live health, hunger, and exact XYZ coordinates of everyone currently online. If a player logs off, they remain on the board—displaying their total historical death count as a permanent mark of shame (or honor).
đź’€ Automated World Wipes & Run Tracking
When a player dies, the run is over. The mod flags the server for an automated wipe and records the victim, the cause of death, and the total days survived. The server automatically halts after a 5-second cinematic fade-out, allowing external server scripts to instantly regenerate a fresh world for the next attempt.
🎬 Cinematic Death Events
Death isn't just a chat message. The fallen player triggers a dramatic, screen-darkening overlay complete with the Warden's heartbeat sound effect, displaying the exact run number that was just terminated and the cause of death before the server shuts down.
🪦 Dynamic Graves
Gone but not forgotten. When a new run generates, the mod seeks out the exact coordinates of the previous run's death. It snaps to the highest surface block and generates a physical grave—a cobbled deepslate wall topped with a skull and a memorial sign detailing the victim, the run number, and their ultimate demise.
🏆 Interactive TAB Leaderboard
Pressing TAB no longer just shows ping. The custom TAB menu acts as your server's central hub, displaying:
- The Current Run Number and Days Survived.
- The All-Time Server Record (Best run and days survived).
- A "Past Runs" Hall of Fame detailing the last 5 attempts, how long they lasted, and exactly who ruined them.
How to Install & Configure
- Drop the
hardcorereset-1.1.4.jarinto your server and client/mods/folders. - Server Owners: Because Forge does not support swapping the Overworld dimension while the server is actively running, this mod is designed to work with an auto-restart script.
- Wrap your server startup command in a loop that deletes the
worldfolder upon server exit.
Example Linux Server Script (run_server.sh)

# Check if the mod created the death flag
if [ -f "wipe_pending.txt" ]; then

# Create backups directory if it doesn't exist
mkdir -p backups
# Generate a timestamp
TIMESTAMP=$(date +"%Y-%m-%d_%H-%M-%S")
# MOVE the world to the backups folder, including the Run Number in the name
mv world/ "backups/world_Run_${RUN_NUM}_${TIMESTAMP}"
# Delete the flag file so it doesn't infinitely loop
rm wipe_pending.txt
echo "World backed up safely. Rebooting in 5 seconds..."
sleep 5
