What does this mod do?
Tinkers' Construct added oreberries in 1.7.10, but they dropped this feature when they moved to newer versions of Minecraft. This mod brings back oreberries and their associated content, and makes them much more configurable than they used to be.
How do I use this mod?
You need Minecraft Forge installed first. Once that's done, just drop oreberries-version.jar in your Minecraft instance's mods/ directory and, optionally, configure it to taste.
What settings does this mod have?
This mod has two configuration files: oreberries.json, where types of oreberries are defined, and oreberries.cfg, where you can control growth chances, bonemeal ability, and tinker villagers.
Why can't I place/grow oreberry bushes?
The default oreberry bushes (with the exception of essence berry bushes) only grow in the dark. The light level needs to be below 13 to place them, and below 10 for them to ever grow.
How do I add/change oreberries?
Edit your oreberries.json file. See the oreberries.json page on the wiki for detailed instructions.
Why does Minecraft crash on startup after I edited oreberries.json?
You may have made a mistake while editing oreberries.json. A syntax error in that file will prevent Minecraft from starting. If you don't see the error, and the crash log doesn't help you find it, try validating the contents of oreberries.json with a tool like JSONLint.com.
How does this mod relate to Tinkers' Construct?
This mod does not depend on Tinkers' Construct, but it does integrate with it if present. Also, this mod uses resources from the 1.7.10 version of Tinkers' Construct, with parts licensed under CC0 and CC-BY 3.0 (both GPL-compatible).
Can I use this in my modpack?
Yes, even if you monetize it with adf.ly or something, and you don't need to ask me for my permission first.
Will this be backported to any older Minecraft versions?
I won't be doing so myself, but my mod is open-source, so you can port it yourself (or if you don't know how to program, pay/convince someone who does to do it).
Tangent: Does this mean that bushes can't generate within Mystcraft created dimensions (without trickery)?
I decided I wanted Iron Bushes to spawn as a substitute for Iron Ore:
How does the generation logic work?
Does it determine that a Bush will generate, then find a random Iron Ore to sub,
OR
Does it determine that a Bush will generate, and then randomly chooses a block within the Block, and if it is an Iron Ore it will sub, otherwise the generation fails?
Thank you!
This mod is great, hope it gets updated to 1.16.4

Awesome mod. I wanted to ask how spawning in other dimensions work. I did not finde them in the beneath, for example ,how can i make them spawn there?
In reply to Forge_User_09327330:
Check the config of The Beneath to see what its dimension ID is. (The default is 10.) Then for each oreberry you want to spawn there, in oreberries.json, add an entry like this to it:
If your dimension ID is different, then replace 10 with whatever it is. If you only want the oreberries to spawn there, and not in the Overworld, then remove 0 from the list.
In reply to josephcsible:
Thank you for the really fast answer.
And i just thought about something, that in the beneath everything is underground so they should spawn at every height. is that a possibility? Sry that i ask you that, i just never rly get changinng config stuff right. It only works in 10% of cases.
edit. I checked and there are enough ore berrys so i think it works perfectly without any more changing configs
In reply to Forge_User_09327330:
You can change maxHeight to do that.
gracias por crear este mod
HI i can't find the tinker villager, I looked for him in 4 villages but i cant find it!
how can i fix this?
In reply to Forge_User_41879453:
Your pack probably disabled it. You can re-enable it in the oreberries.cfg file, or via in-game configuration. If it's already enabled, then just keep looking. There's no special requirements for them; they can appear anywhere that any other villager can.
1.15.2 plz
THX
you could bring back the autonomus activator of the thermal expantion mod or something similar that causes them to activate without having the player activate them ( Experience berries )
In reply to killer080301:
I believe industrial foregoing's plant interactor can harvest these
Are the light levels different for growth? Or is it still 6 and below?
You are a godsend.
Hi, Please update to 1.15.2
Maybe with new configs
THX
.
do the oreberry bushes grow to duplicate (ie from one bush initially i can get more)
In reply to Forge_User_48652799:
No. The only way to get bushes is to find them in the world or trade for them with tinker villagers.
