NukeCoreCraft

The most destructive explosion mod in Minecraft's history

Single-block configurable nuclear blast with cinematic effects, scorched terrain, and survival-balanced crafting.

Items & Blocks

  • Atomic Core — A craftable nuclear explosive block. Primed with flint & steel, fire charge, or redstone. Crafted from Nether Stars, TNT, a Shulker Box, and Blaze Rods.
  • Singularity Core — A black hole generator block. Same activation methods. Crafted from Eyes of Ender, Nether Stars, Dragon's Breath, and an End Crystal.
  • Remote Detonator — Right-click a nuke to link, then right-click air to detonate remotely (same dimension only).

Entities

  • PrimedNuke — 10-second animated countdown with escalating flame particles, beeping sounds, an air-raid siren, and a heartbeat in the final 3 seconds.
  • NukeCloudEntity — A ~70-second mushroom cloud with shockwave rings, expanding fireball, stem column, cap formation, falling ash, lightning strikes, and weather changes.
  • BlackHoleEntity — Multi-phase singularity (Fuse → Forming → Pulling → Critical → Detonate) that rips blocks from the terrain, attracts entities, and eventually explodes. Pull radius up to 900 blocks.
  • FloatingBlockEntity / FloatingChunkEntity — Individual blocks and terrain chunks spiraling into the black hole with tumbling physics.

Core Mechanics

  • Nuclear Explosion — 500-block blast radius (configurable up to 2000), 32-block deep crater, expanding pressure wave, thermal pulse (fire ring), EMP (destroys redstone), and cinematic speed-of-sound delayed boom with reverb echoes.
  • Black Hole Explosion — Absorbed mass (up to 50,000 blocks) amplifies the final explosion radius by up to +50%, with unique warden sonic boom and implosion particles.
  • Fallout System — Contamination zones that block crop growth, apply radiation (Poison) to entities, and mutate hostile mobs. Naturally decays over time.

Client Visual Effects

  • White flash overlay (2048-block detection radius)
  • Screen shake on detonation
  • Nuclear winter sky darkening (5 minutes post-blast)
  • Contamination haze (reddish-brown fog)
  • Heat shimmer distortion near active clouds
  • Gravitational lens bending near black holes
  • Wilson condensation dome (white vapor hemisphere)
  • Heartbeat + FOV pulse during final countdown
  • Falling ash & debris updraft particles

Configuration

Extensively configurable via nukecraft-common.toml — blast radius, crater depth, fuse time, fallout strength/duration/thresholds, particle budget (up to 500K/tick), all visual/audio effects individually toggleable, shockwave speed, thermal pulse radius, EMP radius, and more.
