What's new
Nanonaitor's Arsenal 1.2.0
This update brings the Minecraft 26.1.2 port closer to the established 1.12.2 and 1.20.1 Arsenal behavior, with restored weapon abilities, improved combat handling, new enchantments, updated assets and major first/third-person rendering fixes.
Weapon Ability Updates
- Restored the Morning Star's hold-to-charge attack and charged-area visual effects.
- Restored automatic held attacks for Claws and proper alternating attacks for paired Claws.
- Restored dual-Scimitar automatic alternating attacks, cross-guarding and shield bash behavior.
- Scimitar interactions now preserve priority for chests, levers, villagers and other usable targets.
- Attacks are suppressed while dual Scimitars are actively guarding or on their shield-disabled cooldown.
- Improved Sun-War Bulwark positioning, automatic shielding and shield cooldown behavior.
- Ball & Chain now supports winding, charging, releasing, outward/returning hits and shielding.
- Holding use while winding the Ball & Chain accelerates its wind-up instead of activating its shield.
- Ball & Chain attacks are disabled while its shield is raised.
- Blade Staff reflection is now a timed one-second activation instead of an indefinitely held guard.
- Blade Staff cooldowns are shared across every Blade Staff in the player's inventory.
Blade Staff Reflection
- Reflection strength now scales by material tier.
- Wood: always reflects 1 damage.
- Stone: 10%.
- Copper: 25%.
- Iron and Gold: 50%.
- Diamond: 75%.
- Netherite: 100%.
- The Blade Staff loses durability equal to the incoming damage, rounded down, with Unbreaking applied normally.
- Successful reflection and Reverso healing now use their own audible sound effects.
- Reflection uses a faster centered spinning animation in both first and third person.
New and Updated Enchantments
- Reverso — Blade Staff: converts reflected damage into healing and removes the reflected-projectile Stun effect.
- Luna — Morning Star: increases area size by 25% and reduces charge time by 25% per level, up to level II.
- Magic Log — Battering Ram: halves the ability's hunger cost and converts its damage to magic damage.
- Endure — Scimitar: grants a 25% chance to preserve the guarding stance and reduces shield-disable time by 25%. It stacks to 50% when present on both Scimitars.
- Rotation Force now has a default maximum level of III.
- Flails, Ball & Chains and Claws reject SME's Swifter Slashes enchantment when SME is installed.
- Added configuration switches for all Arsenal enchantments together or each enchantment individually.
Models, Sprites and Rendering
- Updated missing weapon sprites and Netherite variants using the current 1.20.1 artwork.
- Updated shield models to match the established 1.12.2 appearance more closely.
- Reduced Scimitar inventory and rendered size.
- Removed duplicate third-person Scimitar models; only the weapons held in the player's hands are rendered.
- Fixed Blade Staff rotation so it spins around its own centered axis.
- Restored the Blade Staff reflection animation for other players in third person.
- Reworked Flail chain and ball rendering using the 1.12.2-style model and orbit.
- First-person Flail visuals now use the same world-space anchor, reach, chain and orbit as third person.
- Reworked Ball & Chain geometry, chain links, shield ball and attack animations.
- First-person Ball & Chain winding and throwing now use the same geometry and path as third person.
- Ball & Chain throws remain locked to their release direction and stop visually at solid-block collisions.
- The ordinary held Ball & Chain sprite is hidden while its shield ball is active.
- Corrected first-person camera conversion that previously mirrored or incorrectly pitched world-space weapon visuals.
Combat and Compatibility Fixes
- Improved main-hand and off-hand timing for paired weapons.
- Improved cooldown handling across Arsenal weapons and shields.
- Added shield compatibility with Thorns-style enchantment behavior.
- Updated weapon tooltips with current abilities, restrictions and material-dependent values.
- Improved remote-player synchronization for weapon ability visuals.
