Nanonaitor's Arsenal 0.1.7 — Combat, Enchantments & Compatibility

This update expands Blade Staff reflection, introduces four new weapon-exclusive enchantments, improves dual-Scimitar combat, and adds several compatibility and visual fixes.

Blade Staff Improvements

Blade Staff reflection strength is now determined by its material:

  • Wood: always reflects 1 damage.
  • Stone: reflects 10% of incoming damage.
  • Copper and Bronze: reflect 25%.
  • Iron, Gold, Silver, Steel and Umbrium: reflect 50%.
  • Diamond and non-elemental Dragonbone: reflect 75%.
  • Netherite, elemental Dragonbone, Myrmex, Living and Sentient: reflect 100%.
  • Silver: reflects 200% damage against undead enemies.
  • Gold: reflects 100% while its matching RLCraft gold armor bonus is active.

Additional changes:

  • Successful reflections damage the Blade Staff's durability by the incoming damage, rounded down.
  • Unbreaking can reduce this durability loss.
  • Material-specific reflection values are now shown in Blade Staff descriptions.
  • Blade Staffs rotate faster during the active reflection window.
  • Improved the third-person reflection animation.
  • Added a louder custom sound for successful reflections.
  • Projectile reflections still stun enemies unless Reverso is present.

New Weapon Enchantments

Reverso - Blade Staff Exclusive

Changes the Blade Staff's reflection ability:

  • Heals the user instead of reflecting damage into the attacker.
  • Healing scales with the Blade Staff's normal reflection percentage.
  • Removes the stun normally inflicted by reflected projectiles.
  • Repairs the Blade Staff by the resulting healing amount, rounded up.
  • Plays its own custom healing sound.

Luna - Morning Star Exclusive

Maximum level: II

Each level:

  • Increases the charged attack's area by 25%.
  • Reduces the full charge time by 25%.

At Luna II, the Morning Star gains 50% more area and charges 50% faster.

Magic Log — Battering Ram Exclusive

  • Reduces hunger consumption from Battering Ram abilities by 50%.
  • Converts Battering Ram damage into magic damage.

Endure - Scimitar Exclusive

Maximum level: I per Scimitar

Each enchanted Scimitar provides:

  • A 25% chance to resist having the Scimitar guard broken.
  • A 25% reduction to the recovery cooldown when the guard is broken.

Enchanting both Scimitars stacks these effects, providing up to a 50% resistance chance and 50% shorter recovery.

Dual-Scimitar Combat Fixes

Automatic dual-wield combat has been substantially reworked:

  • Each Scimitar now takes its own alternating attack turn.
  • Main-hand and off-hand attacks preserve their appropriate weapon attributes.
  • Damage, enchantments and attack-speed calculations are handled separately for each hand.
  • Added separate per-hand damage windows.
  • A valid attack from one hand no longer incorrectly prevents the other hand from hitting.
  • Repeated attacks from the same hand still respect normal immunity rules.
  • Fixed paired target selection and off-hand attribute calculations.
  • Shield bash now combines the properly calculated damage and enchantment bonuses of both Scimitars.
  • Shield-breaking checks now use a shield tier appropriate to the equipped Scimitars.
  • Added crossed Scimitar guard visuals in third person.
  • Added a custom sound for Scimitar shield bash.
  • Reduced the Scimitar inventory sprite by 15% without reducing its held size.

Enchantment Compatibility

  • Flails can no longer receive Swifter Slashes from So Many Enchantments.
  • Ball & Chains can no longer receive Swifter Slashes.
  • Claws and Linked Claws can no longer receive Swifter Slashes.
  • Rotation Force's default maximum level has been increased from II to III.
  • Arsenal shields can now use Thorns when shield enchantments are enabled.
  • Added a master configuration switch for Arsenal enchantments.
  • Added configuration switches for each individual Arsenal enchantment.

Materials and Optional Integrations

  • Living and Sentient weapon durability can now follow the durability values of the installed parasite weapons.
  • Living and Sentient Flails and Ball & Chains now use their red parasite-themed chain artwork.
  • Added configurable Arsenal equipment for eligible naturally spawned vanilla humanoids.
  • Eligible mobs originally carrying compatible vanilla weapons can receive a corresponding Arsenal weapon while preserving durability and item data.

These material integrations remain optional. Arsenal's standard weapon tiers do not require the associated external mods.

Input, Visual and Stability Fixes

  • Improved Blade Staff reflection visuals in first and third person.
  • Added custom sounds for:
    • Normal Blade Staff reflection
    • Reverso healing
    • Scimitar shield bash
  • Fixed active Flail state potentially remaining stuck after changing players, reconnecting or leaving a world.
  • Flails now cooperate with compatible Defenders guard input instead of treating it as an ordinary shield conflict.
  • Improved shield priority while using Arsenal weapons.
  • Improved cleanup of active weapon states when reconnecting or switching worlds.

Updating

Replace the previous Arsenal JAR with the new version and restart Minecraft.

Do not keep multiple Arsenal JARs installed at the same time.

Multiplayer clients and servers should all use the same Arsenal version.
