Minecraft's ranged combat is bows. Draw, hold, arc the shot, lead your target.
Mystic Handheld Cannon adds something that behaves nothing like that: a handheld cannon that
fires the instant you click, in a straight line, and kicks back at you when it
does.
THE MYSTIC HANDHELD CANNON
Right-click once to chamber a pellet. The cannon swallows it. Right-click again
and it goes, about 60% faster than a crossbow bolt, straight down your
crosshair.
No draw time, no charge-up. Fire rate is a flat cooldown, not a hold timer.
Half a second between shots. Eight tenths of a second to chamber the next round.
Barely any drop, a fifth of an arrow's. A pellet reads as a straight line at any
normal fighting distance, but it still falls eventually, so a miss comes down
and despawns instead of travelling forever.
Damage does not fall off with range. A pellet hits exactly as hard at forty
blocks as at two.
326 shots before the cannon breaks.
The chambered round lives on the item itself, so it survives saves, shows in the
tooltip, and travels with the cannon if you drop it or stash it in a chest.
AMMO
Pellets are cheap, stackable, and spent on impact. You do not pick them back up.
Copper Pellet, crafted from gunpowder and a copper nugget. 7 hearts dmg. Streaks
orange. During a thunderstorm it has a 10% chance of pulling a lightning bolt
down onto whatever it hits. Copper attracts lightning. This one delivers it.
Iron Pellet, crafted from gunpowder and an iron nugget. 7.5 hearts dmg. Streaks
grey. No tricks, just the hardest-hitting round in the mod.
