Description

Every long-running survival world ends up the same way. A landscape pocked with other people’s abandoned holes. A chest room you can no longer find anything in. A pickaxe that breaks three blocks from home. And, sooner or later, somebody tearing down something you spent a weekend on.

MyCraft removes all four.

Build like it’s creative. Earn it like it’s survival.

One block of anything is an infinite supply of it. Find a single piece of oak and you can build in oak for ever. Mine one diamond and you have diamonds. Tools, weapons, armour and elytra never take damage and never break: no durability bar to watch, no spare pickaxes, no anvil upkeep.

What stays is the game. You still explore to find the block in the first place. You still fight, fish, farm, trade and die. Mobs are still dangerous and night is still night. What is gone is the part that was never fun: the grind, the resupply trip, the full inventory, the broken tool.

It is the building freedom of creative mode laid over a survival world you still have to earn your place in.

Fields: the ground that remembers

Every player gets a Field, and it is the only ground in the world where what you do is permanent.

It starts as nine blocks, a 3x3 square, and runs the entire height of the world, bedrock to build limit. Then it grows, by playing. Blocks placed and broken, fish caught, items crafted and smelted, mobs killed, animals bred, trades made: everything counts. Every extension doubles your land and doubles what the next one costs.

Extensions Your land What the next one costs
0 3 x 3 = 9 blocks 9 interactions
1 6 x 3 = 18 18
2 6 x 6 = 36 36
3 12 x 6 = 72 72
10 96 x 96 = 9,216 9,216

Nobody is handed a kingdom on day one, and nobody can claim half the map before you log in. Land is earned by playing, and the player who has played most has most. Fields can never overlap, and the server keeps a gap between them.

Order on your server, without a single plugin

This is the part server owners should read twice.

Griefing is structurally impossible. Not discouraged, not punished after the fact: impossible. Your Field cannot be touched by anyone you have not personally allowed, and everywhere else in the world repairs itself whether anyone reports it or not. A stranger who tries to tunnel into your wall cannot. A stranger who tunnels through the wilderness is undone by the world itself within minutes.

That means no rollbacks. No block-logging plugin, no trawling backups to work out who broke what at three in the morning, no land-claim plugin and its permission wiki, no moderator arbitrating a border dispute. The shared world simply never degrades. Spawn still looks like spawn a year in.

For each player you allow, you grant exactly what you mean, one thing at a time:

  • Enter the Field - without it they are stopped at the border
  • Place blocks and Break blocks - permanently, inside your land
  • Use things - doors, buttons, levers, beds, crafting stations
  • Open containers - chests, barrels, hoppers, furnaces
  • Manage the Field - hand a trusted friend the keys

Six one-click presets cover the usual answers: Blocked, Visitor, Guest, Trusted, Builder, Co-owner. Set your gate to Open, Members only or Closed, and block anyone outright on top of that. A block beats an open gate.

Blocked players are physically stopped at the border. Walking, sprinting, riding, elytra, ender pearls, teleports: all of it. Change your mind and revoke someone’s access and they are outside again that instant, not the next time they happen to move.

And every bit of it is in one window. No commands to learn, no config file to hand-edit, nothing to explain to a new player beyond “press G”.

Everywhere else heals itself

Outside Fields, the world quietly puts itself back. Place a block and it disappears. Break a block, keep the drop, and the original returns exactly as it was, chest contents and all. It happens once no player has been within 96 blocks for five minutes, both configurable, so it never happens under your feet or in front of your eyes.

It covers everything, not just what players do by hand: explosions, fire, water flooding a hole, pistons and mob griefing all revert. Armour stands, boats and minecarts left lying around are cleared with the ground they sit on. Even changes in a chunk nobody has loaded for weeks are undone the moment someone comes back to look.

The wilderness stays wilderness. Yours stays yours.

Ender storage with unlimited pages

Every ender chest in the world opens the same personal storage, and that storage has as many pages as you care to make. Six rows each, arrow keys or buttons to flip through them, and V opens it from anywhere. The chest room problem solves itself.

Chat that never scrolls away

Everything said on the server is kept permanently, and the recent history is replayed into your chat window the moment you join, marked off from live conversation, so you can see what you missed instead of walking into the middle of a thread. Joins, leaves, deaths and advancements too.

A world ten times deeper

  Vanilla MyCraft
Bottom -64 -640
Top 320 2032
Total height 384 2672

Ground is exactly ten times deeper, and the sky is raised as far as Minecraft can physically represent. Build a tower you could never have built. Dig a shaft that takes real commitment.

Terrain generation itself is vanilla’s own, completely untouched - the same noise, the same density functions, the same surface rules - so your seed gives you the surface, biomes and caves you would have had anyway. The new depth is those same rules continuing downward: deepslate to a proper bedrock layer at -640, with iron, redstone, lapis and diamond all the way to the bottom, plus gravel, tuff and lava aquifers waiting for anyone who digs far enough.

Everything in one window

Press G. It is on the pause menu too, and behind the Config button in the mod list.

Tab What is there
Field Size, centre, extensions, progress, and buttons to claim, go to, move or abandon
Members Add players and set each one’s six permissions, individually or by preset
Access Your gate, and the list of people shut out of it
Storage Your pages, and the way in
World The rules actually in force on this server
Settings Your own options

Field borders are drawn in the world, coloured by what you may do inside them, and a banner tells you as you cross one, so you always know whose ground you are standing on. Commands exist, but only as shortcuts to the same screens.
