Description

🎴 Mus
The traditional Spanish card game, now playable inside Minecraft. Build a Mus Table, sit down, and bluff your way through Grande, Chica, Pares and Juego — against friends, against bots, or both at once.
Sit down, read your partner's signals, and call their bluff — Mus, the Spanish card game, comes to Minecraft.
🪑 How to play
- Craft a Spanish deck (paper + red dye + yellow dye) and a Mus Table.
- Right-click the table to sit down — up to 4 players, partnered with whoever sits across from you.
- Choose the stakes (stones and games) and hit Start Game. Empty seats are filled by bots, each with their own rhythm and personality — meet Tío Paco, la Maruja, and Doña Encarna.
- Anyone can take a bot's seat mid-game, and if someone leaves, a bot smoothly takes over for them.
- The deck can also be used to draw a random card on its own — right-click it while holding it.

🎴 Rules implemented
Four-player Mus, 8 kings and 8 aces variant (3 counts as king, 2 as ace), following the official Spanish Federation rulebook:
| Phase | What happens |
|---|---|
| Mus | Speak in turn from the hand. If someone cuts, betting begins. If everyone asks for mus, each player discards and draws. |
| Lances | Grande, Chica, Pares and Juego (or Punto if nobody has Juego) — with sing/declare phases for Pares and Juego, raises, quiero / no quiero, and the all-in órdago. |
| Recuento | Full end-of-hand reveal and count, in order — Grande, Chica, Pares, Juego/Punto — stopping as soon as a pair reaches the game's stones. |
Ties go to the player closest to the hand, and a declined bet (no quiero) is scored on the spot.

🔒 Fair play, by design
All game logic runs server-side. Every client only ever receives the cards it's allowed to see — its own, and everyone's once they're revealed at the count — so there's no way to cheat by sniffing packets.
📦 Requirements
- Minecraft 26.3 (Fabric)
- Fabric API
🛣️ Roadmap
- Persisting games across world saves (currently lives in memory — unloading the table loses the game)
- Signals between partners
- In-world card rendering on the table block
- Translations for table announcements (currently Spanish only)
