0.2.1

Engine sound, 2026-10-08

  • Every machine has its own engine. Each sound is simulated from a real engine: the 50cc buzz, the single-cylinder thump of the trail bikes, the quad's growl. It climbs and falls with the throttle, and you hear the engine braking when you let go.
  • You hear the rider pass by when someone else rides.
  • The big trail bikes show their own icon again: each one showed the other's.

Scanned machines, 2026-10-08

  • The first models are back, in creative only, as ten "Scanned" machines (Motorcycle Scanned, Quad Bike Scanned...). They ride like before, with their own wheels and seat height. No recipe or loot gives them: the rebuilt machines are the ones you craft in survival.

Riding, 2026-10-07

  • Throttle, brakes and engine braking. Machines pick up speed over a second and a half instead of jumping to full speed; holding back brakes first and only reverses once stopped; letting go slows you down gently. Out of fuel or with the ignition off, you coast to a stop.
  • Real steering. The machine follows your gaze at the rate its handlebars allow — slowly at a standstill, sharply when rolling, wider at full speed. You can look around without swerving.
  • Bikes lean into corners, the rider with them. The quad stays flat on its wheels while its body rolls on its suspension towards the outside of the turn.
  • The rider sits properly: on the seat, hands on the grips, feet on the footpegs (or on the floor of a scooter). A dirt bike rider leans over the bars, a scooter rider sits upright.
  • Wheelies last as long as you hold the throttle. After three seconds the rider lets go with one hand, waves, then lets the arm hang until the front wheel comes back down.
  • Fixed: the rear wheel sank into the ground during a wheelie.
  • Camera: pulled back in third person, a wider view at speed, and in first person the horizon follows the lean and the view rises with a wheelie.

New look, 2026-10-06

  • Every machine has been rebuilt from scratch, part by part, with sharper bodywork and painted details. Parts on the assembly stand fit together exactly as they do on the finished machine.

Towards survival, 2026-09-24

  • Four new parts: seat foam, handlebar grips, mirror and mudguard. They never sit on the stand on their own — they go inside the seat, the handlebars and the bodywork.
  • A wheel has to be balanced before it goes on the stand. Wheels come off the tyre fitter unbalanced; MoreIndustry: Workshop's balancer finishes them. Without that mod nothing changes — the stand takes wheels as it always did.
  • Every part now has a recipe, and JEI shows it. Frames, swingarms and exhausts are cut on MoreIndustry: Workshop's 5-axis mill (iron for the 50cc bikes, steel for the rest). Engines, forks, handlebars, bodywork and seats are put together on its workbench. Each one takes a dye in its machine's colour, which tells you which machine it belongs to. Bodywork also needs plastic from MoreIndustry: Petrol. The assembly stand can now be built on the workbench too.
  • Plastic comes from MoreIndustry: Petrol. Bodywork, mudguards and the seat base are polypropylene. Engines also take an airbox, hoses and, above 50cc, an ECU.
  • One jerrycan for every vehicle. This mod no longer has its own. The dashboard takes gasoline from any fuel container: MoreIndustry: Petrol's jerrycan, a bucket of gasoline, or another mod's can. The lava bucket still works when nothing else is installed.
  • Filled at the pump. Motorbikes can be refuelled straight from MoreIndustry: Petrol's fuel dispenser: take a nozzle and click the bike. The nozzle stays in the filler cap of each model while the pump fills the tank.
  • The village garage now hides a lava bucket where it used to hide jerrycans.
  • The pizza scooter is the 50cc scooter with a chest and red dye.
  • All eighteen wheels can be built, on MoreIndustry: Workshop's tyre fitter: a rim, a tyre, and the wheel you pick from its catalogue. A rear wheel is wider, so it takes longer to seat.
  • Seat foam is the one thing you can make without a workshop: leather over wool, on a crafting table. The other three are built on MoreIndustry: Workshop's workbench, and the grips and the mudguard also want plastic from MoreIndustry: Petrol.
