MoreFood: Pastry
A French pastry shop and a funfair, made by hand, one gesture at a time.
Roll the dough on the marble, pipe the choux, whisk the cream on the stove, glaze, decorate, slice. Every cake is built in front of you, and every one looks like what it is.
🍰 What's inside
- Tarts: strawberry, kiwi, raspberry, peach, banana and more, glazed or not. Chocolate, lemon meringue, Tatin and Saint-Honoré.
- Choux: religieuse, éclair, Paris-Brest, profiteroles, chouquettes.
- Cakes: fraisier, Black Forest, raspberry layer cake, mirror-glazed cakes, opera, mille-feuille, chocolate fondant with a molten heart.
- Macarons, in every flavour you fill them with.
- Creams: pastry cream (vanilla, chocolate, coffee, pistachio), butter cream, mousseline, lemon, praline, chantilly, ganache, caramel.
- Icings: coloured fondants, mirror glaze, tart glaze, and jams.
- 🎪 A funfair, in its own tab: churros, waffles, crêpes, popcorn, cotton candy and candied nuts, each with its own animated machine.
- The Pastry Book, with every recipe in pictures.
🥄 How it works
- The marble is your bench: roll the dough, cut it with the ring, pipe, fill, glaze, assemble.
- The stove and saucepan make every cream and icing: pour, light, whisk. Chantilly is whipped cold.
- The piping bag takes a cream and a nozzle: round for choux, small for the heads, fluted for rosettes and éclairs, a ring for the Paris-Brest.
- Bake on a tray in the bakery oven, and watch the choux rise.
- Whole cakes are set down and served slice by slice.
- At the funfair: push the churro dough into the hot oil, flip the waffle iron, spread the crêpe and flip it with the spatula, watch the corn pop and the sugar spin into a cloud. Then top it: chocolate, chantilly, caramel, jam.
- The waffle iron, crêpe griddle, popcorn cart and cotton candy machine run on power; the churro fryer and the nut roaster burn wood or coal.
