Mobweave Core (0.0.0-beta.1)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
v0.0.0-beta.1 - First release: Multi Mob Core on NeoForge 1.21.1
First public build of Mobweave Core, a NeoForge 1.21.1 port of Multi Mob Core by Daveyx0 (CC BY-NC 3.0). The original work has been modified. This is a library: it adds nothing to the game by itself.
Features
- Base creature classes: bird, flying bug, flying creature, flying mob, jumper and swimming creature.
- 14 reusable AI goals: follow and defend an owner, steal from a player, grab items, fly around, sense the nearest player, back off, swim underwater, be tempted by an item and more.
- Taming and variants as data attachments, synced between server and client, with a texture overlay layer for variants.
- Custom creature types (monster, passive, water and lava) with their own spawn caps, and an
IN_LAVAspawn placement. - Configurable spawn system: a registry with a small public API, spawn checks (biome, dimension, light, height, fluids), a server-side spawner and extra entries from the config.
- Utilities (colour, image, entity, NBT), base item and food classes, particles and an empty integration extension point.
Technical Changes
- Ported from Forge 1.12.2 to NeoForge 21.1.249 (Minecraft 1.21.1, Java 21). Own id
mobweave_core. - Capabilities became data attachments; the network layer uses custom payloads; goals use the 1.21 AI system.
- Biome spawn lists are data in 1.21, so the library runs its own spawner each tick instead of editing them.
- Not ported: Dynamic Trees and Just Enough Resources integrations, the Forge config GUI and the old capability plumbing.
Beta: the library loads and the dedicated server starts cleanly, but its behaviour has not been exercised with real creatures yet, because it needs a mod that uses it. Non-commercial use only (CC BY-NC 3.0).
