Mappet Reforged

Mappet Reforged is an unofficial port of McHorse's original Mappet mod to Minecraft 1.20, bringing its powerful adventure map, scripted roleplay, NPC and machinima tools to modern Minecraft versions.

Mappet was originally created as an advanced toolset for building interactive adventure maps and scripted experiences beyond what is normally possible with vanilla Minecraft. Mappet Reforged aims to preserve that experience while adapting the mod to the modern Minecraft environment.

About the Port

This project ports and adapts the original Mappet codebase for Minecraft 1.20.

A major focus of Mappet Reforged is maintaining the behavior and workflow of the original mod while resolving compatibility issues caused by the large technical differences between Minecraft 1.12.2 and modern versions.

The port has also undergone real-world testing by shady1545, whose testing and feedback helped identify several issues and bugs during development. These issues were subsequently investigated and fixed to improve the stability and usability of the port.

Features

Mappet Reforged brings Mappet's adventure-map creation tools to Minecraft 1.20, including its systems for creating interactive experiences, scripted roleplays, NPC-driven scenarios, quests, dialogues and other advanced map mechanics.

The goal is to preserve as much of the original Mappet experience as possible while making it usable on modern Minecraft versions.
