[0.9.1] — Casting Fixes
This update focuses on making NPC spellcasting more reliable and consistent.
Fixed
- NPCs now use the same casting checks whether spells are triggered by AI, CustomNPCs, Easy NPC, or other supported methods.
- Fixed unsupported NPC framework versions still being able to receive Magic NPCs behavior.
- Fixed failed spells sometimes leaving NPCs permanently stuck in a casting state.
- Fixed spell aliases being treated as separate spells, which could cause duplicate entries and inconsistent cooldowns.
- Fixed extremely large cooldown values overflowing and causing spells to cast too quickly.
- Fixed certain line-of-fire checks incorrectly allowing casts through protected entities.
- Improved handling of casts started during callbacks, cancellations, and server shutdown.
- Improved validation of spell levels, targets, mana, cooldowns, line of sight, and allowed spells.
Improved
- Added stronger automated testing for supported integrations and casting behavior.
- Improved dependency and build verification to catch incorrect or mismatched mod versions.
Known Limitations
- This is a focused bug-fix release. Several larger AI, targeting, friendly-fire, and integration improvements are still planned for future updates.
