1.2.6: Config Overhaul

The main change this release is using Jankson as a drop-in replacement for HJson. This is a json dialect I've been developing as a separate project, and will allow injection of new defaults into existing config files without disrupting existing values and comments. This will become extremely important when, hopefully next release, I add config keys for all the now-centralized EMC registries. But for now, I want to take small steps and make sure the transition to jankson is absolutely as invisible as possible.

Other Improvements:

  • Radiant Beacon now projects a very faint sphere to indicate its area of effect. This sphere will be some mix of the effect colors of the sigils placed inside the beacon. Reminder: Radiant beacons do not need a beacon base.
  • Worked around an issue where Viescraft and a few other mods eat the wasd+sneak+jump keybinds, which previously prevented gravity control from activating clientside whenever Minecraft reported a key conflict on those keys. (especially jump)
  • Fixed an issue where Chaos Nexus unexpectedly required Tesla to function.

Known Issues:

  • Gravity control keybinds are now a little overzealous, activating from chat or guis. This should be fixed next version.
  • EnderIO dark steel jumps activate erroneously while flying with gravity control. No ETA on a solution to this.

Future Plans:

Now that a lot of the slow parts are done - the radiant beacon, the XML codex, the config overhaul, and so on - we can get back to the spell foci that probably brought everyone here. I anticipate the next batch of foci being weapons: elemental swords, warded shields, bleed daggers.. we're going to have lots of fun the next couple versions :)

I'm also one of the Mirage developers, and I've been talking to the new maintainer of Albedo. There's substantial room to fuse the two projects so that Albedo can benefit from the API improvements to Mirage. We'll keep you posted, but it'd be really nice for this mod and also for everyone to have stable colored lighting effects.
