Introducing a new gamemode, Blackout Versus! The mod has been updated to Minecraft 1.21.8.

New Gamemode


Introducing the new Gamemode: Blackout Versus.
Blackout Versus is exactly like Blackout, except that two teams compete to complete all 25 goals first. The blacklisted goals are the same as those of the Blackout gamemode.
Start a Blackout Versus by creating two teams with players and using `/blackout versus teamA teamB`. Goals completed by both teams show an alternating color highlighting!

- Wear a Dyed Leather Chestplate

- Get Blindness From Eating Suspicious Stew
- Get Night Vision From Eating Suspicious Stew

Changes


- added Sandstone, Blackstone, and End Stone as options for "Obtain 3 Stone Types"
- added a custom icon for "Reach Sky Limit" goal
- the "Obtain Red Sandstone" goal now requires a Badlands biome near spawn
- goals based on dyed items (dyed concrete, terracotta, stained glass, etc.) can now be rerolled with different colors
- updated Piglin bartering loot tables
- renamed `/blackout start` command to `/blackout solo` for solo Blackout games
- renamed `/blackout team` command to `/blackout coop` for cooperative Blackout games
- player trackers now have Curse of Vanishing
- player names are now colored according to their team color for goal completion messages
- games can no longer be started with 2 of the same players or teams
- Blackout coop can no longer be started with a team containing less than 2 players
- improved goal filters
- removed `/lockout testing`

 

Fixes


- fixed "Enter the Nether" and "Enter the End" goal detections
- fixed "Obtain More..." goals detections and persistence
- fixed "Die to..." mob goal detections
- fixed brew goals not rendering the right color of the potion
- fixed biome search for biomes containing warm ocean ruins
- fixed a crash occurring when games were started with a non-existent player on a team
- fixed a crash occurring when starting a game with certain client-side performance mods (board menu is no longer a fake block entity)
- fixed `resetPlayer` rule not fully resetting the game and player data
- fixed the winning message naming the loser when the final completed goal was an opponent-based goal
- fixed query messages for rule settings
- fixed sound event goals checking for completions when a game wasn't ongoing
