Liberty Gear: Evolution turns your tools, weapons, armor, shield, wings, and aquatic tail into long-term progression gear that grows with you from early survival all the way into god-tier endgame power.
Your equipment gains XP through real gameplay, evolves across 20 levels, unlocks powerful abilities, gains impossible enchantment combinations, and visually transforms as it advances.
Gear That Evolves With You
Start with simple evolutionary gear and upgrade it through use, crafting, smithing, combat, mining, exploration, and resource investment.
Progression Overview
- Levels 1-4: Classic material evolution: Wood, Stone, Iron, Diamond.
- Levels 5-9: Stronger vanilla-style scaling and enchantment growth.
- Level 10: Netherite Ascension through the Smithing Table.
- Levels 11-20: Advanced evolutionary stages, custom abilities, stronger passives, and god-tier power.
Progress is not instant. Your gear grows through dedication, survival, exploration, and smart resource use.
Latent Energy Refining System
Ores and materials stay useful even in mid-game and late-game.
With the Latent Energy system, you can refine valuable materials into magical essences and use them to add flat XP directly to evolutionary gear.
Refining Pipeline
Craft Energized Coal using:
- Copper Ingot
- Coal
Use Energized Coal as the required fuel inside a Blast Furnace.
Refine materials into energized forms:
- Iron Ingot -> Energized Iron
- Gold Ingot -> Energized Gold
- Diamond -> Energized Diamond
- Netherite Ingot -> Energized Netherite
Refine energized materials again into essences:
- Iron Essence
- Gold Essence
- Diamond Essence
- Netherite Essence
Apply essences to evolutionary gear in the Smithing Table to add XP.
Balanced XP Values
- Iron Essence: 10 XP
- Gold Essence: 35 XP
- Diamond Essence: 150 XP
- Netherite Essence: 500 XP
Lower-tier essences become weaker at higher levels, preventing easy automation from replacing real progression.
- Levels 1-10: Full essence value.
- Levels 11-15: Iron and Gold give 50% XP.
- Levels 16-20: Iron and Gold no longer work.
- Diamond and Netherite remain valuable for late-game progression.
Pearlforge Expansion
The Pearlforge system adds a new magical progression path built around Ender Pearls, refined pearls, and Abyssal equipment.
Pearlforge Fuel
A new special fuel, Pearlforge Fuel, is crafted from upgraded resources and is used inside the Blast Furnace for Pearlforge recipes.
Pearlforge Fuel is required for forging:
- Bound Ender Pearls
- Forged Ender Pearls
- Special colored pearls
- Refined pearl materials used for Abyssal Wings and the Abyssal Tail
Pearlforge recipes are intentionally restricted to this fuel, giving the system its own dedicated progression path.
Special Pearls
The expansion adds six pearl variants with a clean vanilla-inspired visual style:
- Pearl
- Black Pearl
- Red Pearl
- Blue Pearl
- Gray-Blue Pearl
- Golden Pearl
These pearls are used as advanced crafting materials for Abyssal gear.
Abyssal Wings And Abyssal Tail
Wings and aquatic movement are now separated into two different equipment pieces.
Abyssal Wings
Abyssal Wings focus on flight and aerial movement.

- Flight progression
- Hover and aerial utility
- Updated pearl-based crafting recipe
- Old wings recipe removed
Abyssal Tail
The Abyssal Tail is a separate aquatic equipment item.
- Dedicated tail slot
- Activates aquatic form in water
- Improved swimming logic
- Unified underwater movement behavior
- No longer depends on wearing wings
If you wear wings without the tail, you get wings.
If you wear the tail, you get aquatic movement.
Each item now has its own clean identity.
Break Vanilla Enchantment Limits
Liberty Gear lets your equipment grow beyond normal Minecraft restrictions.
Examples include:
- Infinity + Mending on the same bow.
- Multiple Protection types on armor.
- High-level enchantments beyond vanilla limits.
- Scaling enchantments that improve as your gear evolves.
Your equipment becomes something truly unique instead of just another disposable item.
Unique Abilities
As gear levels up, it unlocks active and passive abilities.

- Vein Miner
- Timber
- Auto-Smelt
- Earth Break
- Triple Shot

Different gear types unlock different powers, giving every item its own identity.
Visual Evolution
Gear changes visually as it levels up.
- Early gear keeps familiar Minecraft-inspired material stages.
- Shields use vanilla shield shape with evolving colors and textures.
- Advanced levels use custom animated GeckoLib models.
- Level 11-20 gear becomes increasingly powerful, magical, and distinct.
- Pearlforge items use clean vanilla-style textures with magical color variants.
- Abyssal equipment has its own visual identity for flight and water movement.
