Lakeside replaces vanilla's small and ugly ponds with bigger, more interesting lake biomes.
The largest lakes also have islands inside them, adding variation to your worlds.
Lakeside currently includes four lake variations:
- Warm lakes (in most biomes)
- Cold lakes
- Mountain lakes
- Jungle lakes
A lake surrounded by Woods and Mires biomes.
any mod similar to this for forge
Forge?
In reply to turkishrussian:
No. (Forge does biomes differently and the work done for porting isn't worth it.)

Bruh
In reply to turkishrussian:
If you want it, you can do it yourself.
In reply to NydidSylph:
That's fucking hilarious, how about you do it
In reply to turkishrussian:
do it yourself or cry about it

Yeah! WOW, some people are so entitled.
plans for 1.18.1? using the 1.17.1 worlds without it causes your biomes to be relabeled as ice peaks biomes and gives it hella ugly grass colors :((((

See my reply to another comment below yours:
As far as I can tell, a 1.18 port isn't really needed since vanilla's new lake terrain forms look really close to what Lakeside has. Also, 1.18(.1) suffers from making custom biomes basically impossible without custom world types, so I can't port my biome mods yet.
In reply to Juicebus:
Is this mod going to be ported to forge?
Please update for 1.18!! thanks :D
In reply to Toshhh:
Same! Would love a good port for 1.18.

any mob ideas? such as capybaras and beavers?
Any possible Forge port?
Is this compatible with existing worlds?
In reply to qstingerr:
Should be mostly compatible at least. There might be some chunk borders where the new chunks with Lakeside installed begin, though. I'd recommend backing up your world just in case. 😅
Is this compatible with terralith?
In reply to gotyournose006:
I'm not sure. The best way to find out is to test it yourself, I suppose.
